s its website states, the Permits Foundation promotes the best practice of a direct and
‘open’ work permit or authorisation for legally resident partners of international employees. Discover over the coming magazine issues how this organisation can support employee engagement, recruitment and retention, and your DE&I and ESG agenda. After consultation with its
members, the Permits Foundation’s country focus in the coming months includes China, India, Ireland, Singapore, South Africa and the US. These destinations will resonate with many readers.
CHAMPIONING ADVOCACY There are more details on its website about the Permits Foundation’s impressive advances in advocacy, including submitting evidence to government departments in the relocation hotspot of Ireland and recommending that direct work access be extended to spouses and partners of intra-company transferees. SHARING THE WORLD MAP This is a wonderful tool for those managing and supporting international assignees and mobile assignees and families. This invaluable, interactive world map of mobile spouse and partner work authorisation allows you to check at-a-glance how countries are legislating to enable direct work access for dependants of highly- skilled international employees. It includes recently updated countries across Latin America, Africa and the Middle East.

elocate Global’s Think Women 2023 event, ‘Inspiring Global Women for Growth’, was held in March at
the Institute of Director’s in London to mark International Women’s Day. We were delighted to welcome Gill Gordon, chair of the Permits Foundation, to join the workshop, lunch and keynote with economist, Dr Anino Emuwa. This was a unique opportunity for
the global mobility community to come together to explore the future of work and a more equitable world for girls and women, and to promote the importance of international careers.
