n Monday, September 30, Brother opened its new premises in Emmerich am


The president of the Brother Group, Ichiro Sasaki, personally opened the 1,000sq m new building, which is state- of-the-art in both work and environmental


technology and includes offices, meeting rooms, a spacious lounge and canteen area, as well as a brand new showroom. The opening ceremony was attended by employees of Brother Emmerich and its Bologna branch office and by representatives of the Brother headquarters in Nagoya, Japan.

liver Luedtke, a well-known marketing and communications expert in the inkjet industry, has been appointed to the role


of chief marketing officer at ColorGATE. As chief marketing officer, he is a member of the executive board. His scope of responsibility includes marketing communication, product management and technical documentation. Mr Luedtke has been active in the digital printing industry for more than 20 years. He holds a degree in printing technology and has experienced and influenced the digitalisation of the printing industry from the beginning. Before joining ColorGATE, he held senior positions with Heidelberger Druckmaschinen, Best, EFI and Kornit Digital. Thomas Kirschner, founder and CEO of ColorGATE, said: “I am very happy that we got Oliver on board. We will benefit significantly from his international experience in many areas of digital printing. In our initial talks, we already agreed that industrial inkjet printing holds a huge growth opportunity for us, but also requires us to communicate our competence and strategy clearly. Supported by social enterprise experts, a series of presentations is scheduled for the UKʼs secondary schools, offering the chance for interested budding entrepreneurs to join a programme of intensive 12-week courses which are due to be rolled out over the next three years.

Drytac appoints West Coast territory manager

rytac has announced the appointment of Gilbert Espinosa to the position of West Coast territory manager in the USA. Mr Espinosa joins Drytac with over 26 years' experience in the sign and graphic industry. Based in Drytac's California office in Sante Fe Springs, he will be responsible for Arizona, Southern California, Hawaii and Nevada. He will be tasked with building upon existing accounts and acquiring new business accounts throughout his territory.
