Ahhhhh, August – that month where it’s almost impossible to get anything done in Europe because absolutely everyone is on holiday. Except the attractions industry of course, it’s the biggest, best time of year for us, and it’s all hands on deck, all systems go and full steam ahead. There are probably more motion-related phrases I could employ, but it’s late and I’m all out. For our industry, of course, it’s about the build-up to IAAPA Europe as well, and with an eye on that we have several pages of previews this issue. I must commend Quick Brown Fox PR for supplying some of this information, they’ve been terrific to work with. And the end result? We can share information with you about who is exhibiting and what they’re showing, so it’s a win-win.

Elsewhere in the issue you can enjoy the latest news, the cover story on accesso, and a lovely piece about Blackpool Pleasure Beach’s almost 100-year relationship with IAAPA. Hang on, I see a theme emerging in this issue… I digress. I hope wherever you are reading this that you’re not being too strongly buffeted by rising costs, and you continue to have a good and healthy summer. Jon
