everything VEX stands for. It can host competitive team games, casual family fun, and it fits into almost any venue. The Arena represents our core philosophy: deliver premium experiences

that are easy to operate and scale. It’s proof that cutting-edge technology can be fun, reliable, and profitable at the same time.

Matt: How did the first half of 2025 treat the company? What were your key activities in this period? Julien: The first half of 2025 was excellent. We’ve seen strong growth globally, with new installations across Europe, North America, and the Middle East. We’ve also expanded our content roadmap and invested in improving our software backend to make operations smoother for our partners. Having said that, the highlight of the year for me has to be the launch of

Matt: What does your day-to-day role involve? Julien: My days are a balance between innovation and execution. I work closely with our R&D and production teams to ensure every VEX attraction, from the VEX Adventure to the VEX Arena and our latest VEX PartyDash, delivers exceptional quality while remaining simple to run. Another key part of my job is listening to operators, players, and partners

around the world. Understanding what drives engagement and what challenges venues face helps us keep improving and delivering the right solutions.

Matt: Can you give us the elevator pitch for what VEX Solutions is and explain what it excels at? Julien: VEX Solutions designs and builds premium VR attractions for entertainment venues worldwide. Our systems combine free-roaming multiplayer gameplay with 4D effects like wind, heat, scent, and haptic feedback, making players feel truly part of the virtual world. Our goal is to make high-quality immersive entertainment that’s social,

repeatable, and easy for operators to manage. The VEX Adventure offers a 4D cinematic experience that engages all the senses, while the VEX Arena focuses on fast-paced, replayable fun. And our newest product, VEX PartyDash, is designed for casual group play, perfect for arcades.

Matt: How much has the company changed since its start? Julien: We’ve evolved from a small VR startup into a global leader in location-based VR entertainment. Early on, our mission was just to prove that free-roaming VR could be reliable and profitable. Now, we’re helping venues all over the world make it a cornerstone of their business. Our systems are more modular, our software ecosystem has expanded,

and our game catalogue continues to grow. Most importantly, we’ve learned to design not only for players but for operators, creating attractions that deliver consistently great experiences with minimal hassle.

Matt: Could you pick a favourite project and talk us through what makes it so good in your eyes? Julien: VEX Adventure was our first product and will always be special. It’s the best example of how we merge technology with storytelling. Players don’t just wear a headset, they step into a living, breathing world where they can feel temperature changes, vibrations, wind on their skin and even scent around them. It’s a true 4D free-roaming experience that transforms VR into something

tangible. Watching people emerge from it, laughing, surprised, talking about their adventure, that’s when you know it works.

Matt: Is there a single piece of work that you think best defines what VEX is? Julien: That would be the VEX Arena. It’s social, exciting, and accessible,

the VEX PartyDash at IAAPA Expo in Barcelona. As soon as we announced it weeks earlier, it immediately resonated with operators and showing it for the first time, the response has been amazing. It’s fast, fun, and designed for social play, something the market was really asking for.

Matt: What are you working on right now? Julien: We’re currently developing new content for both VEX Adventure and VEX Arena, with a strong focus on narrative depth and replayability. On the hardware side, we’re introducing product upgrades to match the evolution of the hardware and the market. That’s why we’ve introduced a revised version of our mobile VEX Arena We’re also expanding the VEX PartyDash lineup, adding new mini-games and tools so operators can keep the experience fresh for repeat players.

Matt: What can we expect from you over the next 12 months? Julien: This year marks a new chapter for VEX Solutions as we venture beyond virtual reality with the creation of our mixed-reality arcade. We’re committed to pushing innovation forward and bringing new life to the arcade and entertainment ecosystem. Our mission remains the same: to deliver fun and unforgettable experiences to people around the world, offering immersive, interactive adventures they can’t find anywhere else.

Matt: How do you think we’ll see the VR space evolve over the next couple of years? Julien: We’re entering a new era for out-of-home VR. The technology is finally reliable, comfortable, and affordable enough for mass adoption. The next evolution is all about depth and social connection, giving players richer, shared worlds that they can explore together. Free-roaming multiplayer VR will continue to lead that evolution. As

hardware improves and tools evolve, experiences will become more adaptive and personal, blending physical sensations and digital storytelling seamlessly. The line between the virtual and the real will keep getting thinner, and that’s where VEX thrives.

Matt: Is there anything else you’d like to mention? Julien: At VEX, our focus has always been people, not just the players but also the operators who bring these experiences to life. Technology is just the tool, and what matters is the emotion it creates. We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished so far, but we’re even more

excited about what’s next. Whether it’s the adrenaline of VEX Arena, the immersion of VEX Adventure, or the social fun of VEX PartyDash, our mission stays the same: to create shared experiences that people remember long after they’ve left our operators’ venues.
