was a turning point for the studio and cinema. Last December we completed our 12th feature film that will be in theatres in 2025. Of course, we keep adding new attraction and ride titles to our catalogue


on a regular basis as this segment is an important pilar of the company. Out of every new feature film we edit a brand-new attraction film specifically designed  handle the world-wide distribution.


Matt: What do you believe makes the perfect animated ride? Goedele: This is a difficult question to answer since perfection is different for everybody. What works in Scandinavia might not work in Asia. Our goal is to reach as many people as possible with our films and bring a smile to their face. Personally, I go for colourful images, a nice story line that is not too


complicated, a catchy soundtrack and enough special effects to make the experience memorable. For what it is worth, my all-time favourite nWave film is The Little Prince.


Matt: What technological changes have you seen in your time that have drastically changed your products? Goedele: The digitalisation changed everything. I used to ship 40-minute 3D films around the world in huge shipping crates, and it sometimes took a week or longer before they arrived at their destination.


Matt: Can you tell us what has been occupying nWave's focus in the last 12 months? Goedele:  film.


Matt: What's the 'big thing' in nWave's world right now? Goedele: The worldwide pandemic changed the world and had a huge impact on our market; things will never be like before 2020. At nWave we also had a change of management leading to new goals and perspectives. 


new branch of the company - opened in 2023, thus expanding the number of employees. nWave has a lot of knowledge and expertise, so why not exploit this in more than one way.


Matt: What can we expect from you in the next 12 months? Goedele:   very promising. More projects are in the pipeline but are still confidential.

marketing assets that used to be shipped daily from our Brussels office. A lot more logistics were needed. Going digital opened up a lot more opportunities as installations became


less cumbersome and less expensive. Delivery over the internet is so easy and fast. With Aspera we can send files in no time and a KDM (digital key) offers a copyright protection. 

Matt: Anything else you'd like to add? Goedele: These days there is access to so many home amusement tools for gaming, VR, streaming and so on. We hardly have to leave our homes and go out to find thrills and kicks. But it all remains a rather individual experience. There is no better way to have fun than a day out with family and friends,


visiting a theme or attraction park, enjoying the rides together, or watching a great 4D film together. Doing something together is how people bond and create memories for life.
