Massive Tropic Falls expansion unveiled at OWA Parks & Resort

WA Parks & Resort in Foley, Alabama kicked off the season with the opening of a huge expansion to tropical-themed water park Tropic Falls, a project that has been over three years in the making.
OWA Parks & Resort is owned and operated by the Poarch Band of Creek Indians. Named after the Creek word for ‘big water’, OWA is a 520-acre theme park featuring rides, a food and entertainment district, water attractions and resort. At the centre of OWA is Tropic Falls, which includes a 23-ride theme park and the region’s largest indoor water park.
Phase one of OWA’s Tropic Falls opened in summer 2022. The latest opening features all kinds of new attractions, including: • Big Water Bay, a 30,000 sq ft wave pool • Coastal Curl, a surf simulator •
Thorpe Park Resort has confirmed that the former
reimagined in 2023, featuring a new storyline and special effects, live actors, the removal of VR and
beyond the veil into darkness on Thorpe Park’s newest ride experience, Ghost Train. But watch your tracks, death is always one stop ahead. This next generation of Ghost Train will take you on a harrowing ride into the realms beneath Thorpe Park to where the supernatural believers call home. Ghost Train is one of the UK’s longest ride experiences featuring live actors and multisensory effects to create a terrifying attraction like no other! There’s nothing virtual about this petrifying experience, so prepare to meet your maker as you come face-to-face with horrors that dwell within. Ghost Train opens spring 2023.

The addition of Big Water Bay and Coastal Curl, along with its 100,000 sq. ft. adjacent indoor water park, makes Tropic Falls the largest water-themed attraction of its kind on the Gulf Coast.

Pipeline Coaster to open soon at
SeaWorld Orlando SeaWorld Orlando has announced that its new, next-generation stand-up coaster will open in May.
The Bolliger & Mabillard surf coaster will reach a top speed of 60 mph along its 2,950 feet of track, which will top out at 110 feet tall.
With train floors designed to look like giant surfboards, Pipeline will feature stand- up "seats" that "bounce" to simulate the action of surfing on waves.
