Gerflor and Gradus leading the way at Dunfermline Learning Campus, Scotland

major milestone in Scottish education has been achieved with the opening of the Dunfermline Learning Campus in West Fife. Purpose-built to inspire learning, the 26,666 m² facility accommodates 2,700 pupils and 246 staff, making it the UK’s largest building constructed to Passivhaus standards.
Gerflor played a key role in the project’s success, supplying over 14,000 m² of high-performance flooring, including Taraflex® sports flooring, DLW Marmorette Linoleum, Tarasafe Safety flooring, and Powershock 300 rubber tiles. Gradus accessories, such as stair nosings and trims, complemented the package, ensuring durability, safety, and style across the facility.

Contracts Supervisor Jamie Cargill commented, “We recommended Gerflor and Gradus products because of their exceptional design, durability, and
performance, key factors in delivering an effective overall solution.” Cabinet Secretary for Education and Skills, Jenny Gilruth, said, “This is an important milestone for the Dunfermline Learning Campus, which will greatly benefit pupils, teachers, and the local community.”= Now a vibrant hub for learning and community activity, the campus offers world-class facilities for all. Maggie Smith added, “The client is delighted with the finish and performance of our products.”
