NEWS Academy Transformation Trust hires new CEO
The Board of Academy Transformation Trust (ATT) has announced the appointment of Mark McCourt as its new CEO. Mark has a wide-ranging background in education leadership and is currently Non-Executive Director of Advantage Schools.
Mark has provided support for major multi-academy trusts, government agencies and ministries, both domestically and overseas. He has also advised large groups of state and independent schools, FE colleges and local authorities. In the private sector he has advised education publishers, edtech companies and education services corporations.
He has led significant national initiatives such as the National Centre for Excellence for the Teaching of Mathematics and the Teacher Development Trust and has designed and delivered education improvement initiatives for various governments. At Tribal Group, he managed numerous education improvement projects globally.
As Founder and CEO of La Salle Education, Mark built the UK’s largest provider of mathematics teacher professional development and in his role as an expert adviser to Ofsted he helped shape national inspection frameworks.
Pat Beanland, Chair of the ATT Board, said: “Following a rigorous search and recruitment process, we are delighted to be able to announce Mark as our new CEO. His vision for educational excellence shone through in all our discussions and we are excited about the future of ATT under his leadership.”

Rethink Food and Savills launch eco competition for schools
Rethink Food has launched an exciting new eco competition, offering £1,000 to the school with the most impactful sustainability idea - helping young people turn their vision into reality.
Open to schools across the UK, this competition is designed to empower students to take meaningful action on sustainability within their schools and communities.
Funded by Savills, the competition provides an exciting opportunity for students to develop eco-friendly projects, applying their knowledge in real-world ways.

Leading meals producer, apetito | Wiltshire Farm Foods, has appointed a new Senior Dietitian, Rachel Sipaul, to its New Product Development team, demonstrating its commitment to nutritional excellence.
With over 20 years’ experience in the Food industry, Rachel has formerly worked within the NHS as a clinical dietitian, as well as working in research and regulatory affairs with Nutricia. Joining from Education Catering with Hampshire County Council, Rachel led on nutritional support for children across 400+ schools.
