G2E LAS VEGAS PREVIEW PST Credits Corporate Evolution P

resident and CEO Simon Herbert revealed the company has been so incredibly busy responding to

enquiries that he is consulting on opening a new office to service the US domestic market. Indeed, in recent months PST has

witnessed a fundamental change in its business model, evolving from a predominantly gaming chair manufacturer and supplier into a design led specialist investing heavily in technology, creative vision and innovative manufacturing processes. “PST is renown worldwide for its

bespoke, hand crafted furniture utilising traditional methods and skills. Combining such detailed craftsmanship and personal skills with modern technology is an exciting proposition and affords customers a unique product range which is entirely different to the rebranding of basic assembly. “PST’s unique ability to produce

furniture from an initial concept through to manufacturing and installation rather than simply fabricate from third party components, has generated an appreciation for the subtle ways in which detailed attention to the manufacturing process and materials incorporated can influence the end product,” said Mr Herbert.

Organically developing its presence in

the US market as collaborations with leading brands such as Virgin Cruises, McDonalds and a variety of well-known casino operators, restaurants, bars and nightclubs attract high profile attention, PST has divested from its furniture and chair reputation into a much broader and comprehensive design house. “The company has definitely

demonstrated proactive planning and witnessed a conscious shift in purchasing whereby chairs and furniture are no longer simply a functional necessity but rather an integral component of ultimate design

inspiration,” he revealed Explaining PST’s strategic direction, Mr Herbert continued: “PST recently launched a complete inhouse design service which has been extremely well received by customers. Furniture is no longer an afterthought but an integrated element included from the initial concept of the overall environment. “The new PST studio provides an entire

design service which relies on interior inspiration, intuition, practical judgement and engineering principles. Brand identities are balanced to complement either a launch in a new sector or a refurbishment project in an established market, from flooring to wall colours, fabrics to furniture all resulting in tactile experiences with a client’s main aim for the environment prioritised.” It seems PST is now firmly entrenched

in the US market committed to multiple projects across numerous sectors. Indeed, enjoying a long standing and successful collaboration with Virgin Cruises since the launch of its inaugural vessel in 2019, the fourth ship in the celebrated fleet, Brilliant Lady, recently enjoyed its floating out ceremony from its base of operations at the port of

San Juan, Puerto Rico. Meanwhile, in New York PST has been awarded the coveted Casa Cruz design project. PST has worked closely in conjunction with the famous restaurant and bar chain on sympathetically refurbishing the beaux arts town house renowned traditionally for its “unparalleled design”. “While creating a strategy to compete

globally across different commercial sectors is inherently more complex it affords valuable insights which we have discovered can remove initial limitations and constraints of a project for example by leveraging experience from the gaming sector and utilising it in hospitality,” revealed Simon.
