BOLIVIA La AJ fortalece la lucha contra la ilegalidad
El Director Ejecutivo de la Autoridad de Fiscalización del Juego (AJ), Marco Antonio Sánchez Vaca, anunció a fines de marzo, una serie de medidas para fortalecer la lucha contra la ilegalidad y modernizar el proceso de atención al público, incluyendo la identificación de juegos de azar ilegales y clandestinos. “Realizaremos las acciones correspondientes para sancionar el juego en línea. Para ello es importante fortalecer nuestro marco normativo, buscando que se sancione tanto a organizadores como promotores de actividades ilegales, como por ejemplo bingos y apuestas en línea”, enfatizó Sánchez Vaca. La semana
anterior, la AJ llevó a cabo otro
operativo exitoso en la ciudad de
Cochabamba, donde se intervino una casa de juego ilegal ubicada en la zona de San Pedro. Durante la
intervención, se logró el decomiso
de cuatro medios de juego (billeteras), utilizados para actividades de azar no autorizadas.
En el lugar se encontraban dos personas de sexo femenino, quienes fueron identificadas. Sin embargo, el responsable del establecimiento logró darse a la fuga al momento de ingreso del personal de la AJ.
Este operativo es parte de los esfuerzos continuos de la AJ para combatir el juego ilegal en el país y garantizar el cumplimiento de la normativa vigente. La AJ insta a la ciudadanía a denunciar cualquier actividad de juego ilegal a través de sus canales ofi ciales (www.aj.
gob.bo), con el fi n de colaborar en la lucha contra la ilegalidad.

The Executive Director of Bolivia’s La Autoridad de Fiscalizacion del Juego - AJ (the Gaming Enforcement Authority), Marco Antonio Sánchez Vaca, announced at the end of March a series of measures to strengthen the fight against illegal gambling and also to modernize the process of serving the public, including the identification of illegal and clandestine games of chance in the country.
“We will take the corresponding actions to sanction online gambling. To this end, it is important to strengthen our regulatory
framework, seeking to sanction both organizers and promoters of illegal gambling activities, such as bingo and online betting,” Sánchez Vaca emphasized. The previous week, the AJ
carried out another successful
operation in the city of
Cochabamba, where an illegal
gambling house located in the San Pedro area was closed down. During the intervention, the authority seized means of gambling (wallets), used for unauthorized gambling activities. At the gambling premises there were two female persons, who were identified. However, the person in charge of the establishment managed to flee at the time of entry of the AJ personnel. This operation is part of the AJ’s ongoing efforts to combat illegal gambling in the country and ensure compliance with current regulations.
