"We've seen warm interior palettes becoming prevalent within kitchens and bathrooms in the last quarter of 2022, and this looks to continue into 2023 as consumers seek cosy colours to elevate their home and provide a sense of comfort in an uncertain time. As part of this shift and the ongoing love for industrial look kitchens and bathrooms, Venetian plaster with its cement-like hues and textures will have its moment - again! Dating back to the 15th century and traditionally used on exterior walls, ‘stucco' embraces soft and earthy palettes which have been seen to add value to the home. This antique look can now be achieved with modern day solutions that have the benefit of being waterproof - which is of course a must for kitchen and bathroom spaces. There are no bounds to how we'll see stucco featuring in homes - walls and furniture cladding, worktops and even flooring and ceilings.”

Sustainable Choices


Sustainability is at the forefront of our industry. From an operations perspective, we are seeing a need for manufacturers to review the longevity of current energy sources. From price inflations to concerns over the environment, implementation of renewable alternatives should be explored. Alternatives include biomass, solar and heat source, all reducing carbon footprint and creating a reliable and efficient energy source for years to come. It is also important to think about how a product offering can enable end


consumers to make a sustainable choice. Think about designing and manufacturing products where several elements are recycled e.g. 100% recycled chipboard cabinets or 100% recycled plastic cabinet legs. Another step to reduce unnecessary waste is by monitoring the materials used to package the product, ensure these are recyclable or reusable across the board.
