SHOWERS, TRAYS & ENCLOSURES David Mosley

Trojan Baths

David Mosley, Managing Director at Trojan Baths, spoke with BKU’s Matt Broughton about the key activities so far in 2025, and what’s yet to come.

hoped to exceed these projections as they were modest following a slow 2024, “explains Trojan’s MD, David Mosley. “We have continued to dedicate a significant portion of our resources to enhancing our shower tray factory following its relocation from Essex. We’ve implemented substantial process improvements and product refinements, which have been positively received by customers who have toured the facility over the past six months. It’s worth noting that Traymate is positioned as a premium gel coat shower tray brand targeting the mid to upper market segments. Alongside these developments, we have rebranded both Traymate and Bathe Easy as Trojan brands.” David explains that the company’s primary

objective this year is to continue to stabilise and grow. “We want to position Traymate by Trojan as a high-quality gel coat shower tray brand and over time earn the respect of the market. We’ve built a strong foundation in the factory that we believe will enable us to grow our shower tray sales based on a superior product that excels in both performance and aesthetics. In addition, we remain committed to supporting the Bathe Easy brand and our accessibility products targeting health care professionals and specifiers to enter the care home market. Of course, we won’t

neglect our core business of baths! As we celebrate our 50th anniversary, we are developing new designs to further strengthen our already extensive product range.” Trojan remains fundamentally a bath

manufacturer, but given its investments to date in shower trays, the company is strategically emphasising sales growth for Traymate by Trojan. “We’ve scheduled training sessions with customers in the coming months to showcase our investments, improvements and the how Trojan offers more; more value, more knowledge, more expertise, and more support. Additionally, we’re well-positioned to serve the European market, where gel coat products are in high demand. Over the last 12 months we have been developing a new range of power assisted baths for Bathe Easy. We’re looking forward to introducing these products to the market soon.”

Traymate and Bathe Easy Gel coat’s versatility makes it ideal for innovative design. Traymate by Trojan products now rival those of premium European manufacturers. David explains: “We’ve enhanced our trays by recommissioning master and production tools and developing high-performance, lightweight materials. The result is a range of gel coat trays that competes with established European manufacturers in both technical construction and market performance. Customers should therefore expect a product that fits into Trojan’s ethos of quality and service before price.”

By expanding the Bathe Easy bath collection

with four new power lift baths, Trojan will be able to serve both the professional care market and consumers looking after less abled family members who wish to maintain independence in their own homes. The core range remains the same, with a wide range of modern designs available with either glass or solid doors that will fit seamlessly into homes without looking institutionalised. “As the baths are made at our sister company in Northallerton, we have control of the quality that mirrors everything that we undertake.” I ask what else we can expect before the end

of this year. “The new Bathe Easy Power lift baths are currently being tweaked to ensure their release is right, rather than rushing to market,” says David. “The lift mechanism showcases impressive British engineering and innovation. We’re also collaborating with a third-party partner on Living Showers and a Bath Out Shower In (BOSI®) solution specifically designed for the less-abled market. We are also in the early development stages for a new shower tray range that will target both the European and UK markets. As a preview, we can share that this range will feature innovative waste design elements. If development proceeds as planned, we expect to launch these products in Q4 of 2025. Additionally, Trojan will be introducing new bath designs to maintain our strong market position.”
