2020 Conference open for bookings
T
he 2020 Bathroom & Kitchen Business Conference, which will take place on the 12 and 13 October at the Carden
Park Resort, Chester, is now open for bookings. The 2020 conference will be hosted by Tim Pollard, following his star turn in the role last year. Tim, a principal at Pollard and Pollard, is well known in the bathroom industry and respected for his knowledge on compliance and other consumer issues. The headline speaker will be Professor Lewis Dartnell, a research scientist at the University of Westminster. Professor Dartnell is a writer and author of, ‘The Knowledge: How to Rebuild our World from Scratch’, a New York Times and Sunday Times best-seller, and also The Sunday Times ‘New Thinking’ Book of the Year. The 2020 event will build on the success of last year’s format. It will be a
two day event including advice surgeries, a General Council meeting and networking dinner on Monday. There will be a gala black tie dinner on Tuesday evening after the conference. “We are delighted to be returning to this fabulous venue once again,”

Judging panel announced for Kbsa Awards

Ainhoa Bilbao, kitchen designer at Bulthaup, takes on the role of head judge. She is supported by Martin Gill, managing director at And So To Bed Ltd; Andrea Hillier, national retail services manager at Blum UK; Keith Myers, director at The Myers Touch; Craig Matson, managing director at Roundhouse and Adrian Stoneham, managing director at Stoneham Kitchens. Kbsa national chair Richard Hibbert says, “We are delighted to have
secured the support of such high calibre professionals again this year. “The Kbsa design awards are regarded as best in class and recognised
as one of the most transparent and worthwhile awards in the industry, so it is important to have well respected designers represented on our judging panel.” The Kbsa Designer Awards 2020 include:

New Kbsa members and KBB retailers that are in the processes of applying for membership also have the opportunity to enter. Retailers that have applied and whose membership is accepted before the award deadline and new members that have projects completed before they joined can enter, as long as the project submitted can be verified as being completed within 12 months of membership.
