Carbon farming milestone for Keller
Keller Kitchens and parent group, DKG, have officially entered the first phase of becoming a Carbon Negative manufacturer of kitchens. Having been a Carbon Neutral manufacturer since April 2017, the next step to become Carbon Negative was a logical progression due to the ethos and Corporate Social Responsibility commitment of the group. Last year, Keller/DKG, began the
Carbon Farming initiative working with strategic sustainability partners ZLTO. The basis of the project is to extract carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

Manager UK, explains more, “The initial findings are extremely positive when it comes to carbon farming. Measurements taken from the participating farms show the carbon is bonding well with the soil, as anticipated. This leads to healthier and more sustainable soil, with extended life and greatly increase moisture retention capacity. The results prove this project is a win – win both for the farmers and our environment.”
