New generation of matt finish surfaces from HPP and Egger remain firmly on trend

new generation of EGGER’s PerfectSense® TM9 is now available from Hill’s Panel Products (HPP), the Oldham-based board, doors and furniture fittings manufacturer and supplier. With matt surfaces remaining firmly on trend, HPP partner producer EGGER has combined state-of-the-art UV lacquering technology with a carbon negative chipboard core.
The PerfectSense® Collection is already well known in the industry for its high-end matt, super matt and gloss finishes. Previously available with a MDF core, or as laminate, EGGER has made the changes in response to demand for more environmentally focused products.
Designed particularly with vertical applications in mind, the lacquered boards boast a warm and velvety touch and feature easy to clean, anti- fingerprint and antibacterial properties. Alex West, EGGER UK’s Product Manager, says: “Most matt surfaces in the market come with a
high price tag. Thanks to the chipboard core of TM9, we have been able to keep the cost down and offer a more affordable solution. “The chipboard core of TM9 is just one of the reasons the product is so affordable. 34% of a panel is made from recycled wood, with a further 37% made from sawmill by-products. A key feature is that TM9 can be recycled along with other household wood waste at local waste recycling centres after use. Therefore, the carbon that is absorbed by the tree during its growth is stored in the wood-based panel for generations to come.”
The range consists of 10 popular décors, including new on-trend greens and elegant greys alongside black, white and blue options – all resistant to abrasion, impact and scratches – and available with matching edging.
HPP is an EGGER Diamond Distributor and is the only distributor to offer its trade customers the unique service of processing full panel sheets from
the entire EGGER Decorative Collection into made-to-measure doors or cut-to- specification orders.
