Verona relaunches its Al Fresco outdoor tile collection in response to consumer trends

ith lockdown making a huge impact on daily life and our ability


to move around freely, living spaces have had to evolve and become a place where homeowners live, eat, work and relax. As a result, garden scaping has become a movement, with consumers becoming increasingly creative with their outdoor spaces, creating walled gardens, raised patios, and outdoor seating areas leading to a huge demand in style-led accessories that transform and complement outdoor living areas. and the trend for contemporary garden living, the new Al Fresco collection caters for all consumer tastes offering a variety of both dramatic and subtle textured tiles, all inspired by the great


outdoors. Featuring dark graphite shades, fashion forward greys and warm earthy neutral tones, Al Fresco combines the rustic look of natural materials with all the benefits of a porcelain tile in a practical, stylish surface covering. Made from premium porcelain, these new


designs are perfectly suited to homeowners who want to extend their interior style to the outdoors, seamlessly stretching from the kitchen through to the patio with a mix of 20mm thick premium porcelain for outdoor and a selection of co-ordinating indoor tiles. Offering 10 timeless ranges, each with its own

blend of Scandi and Japanese styles, Japandi tiles create a calming


ambience, perfect for turning any bathroom into an at-home retreat. Drawing inspiration from luxury spas, warm neutral tones are combined with soft matt finishes, working effortlessly to create a relaxing space. Sand, beige and


natural shades work well, but monochrome can fit the bill too, just choose a grey tile with a warm undertone.


Patterned tiles Patterned tiles never really left, they’ve been a hit in homes for many years, instead, the look keeps adapting to new trends. Homeowners are using them in more places than ever - hallways, bathrooms, cloakrooms, kitchens, utility rooms and conservatories are all being revamped with pattern and splashes of colour, but more recently patterned tiles are spreading out into the garden. Black, white and grey monochrome tiles featuring Victorian-inspired patterns remain in demand as they are easier to style and are particularly popular in large hallways and garden paths, but we’re seeing more bold colour choices being introduced too.


Large format 60x120cm and 90x90cm tiles in concrete and marble-effects have grown in popularity and are increasingly in demand due to their ease of installation. They have the added benefit of creating fewer grout lines, which can make a space feel bigger, making them well suited to small spaces like cloakrooms and utilities, as well as large, open plan floors. Polished and matt finishes are both high in the style stakes, offering different looks depending on the style of the property or design scheme.
