Natural beauty While GPV is available in an incredibly wide variety of colourways, it is wood and stone decors that perhaps remain the most popular amongst architects, building owners and consumers. It’s easy to see why, imitating the material’s natural beauty but at a far lower cost point, as well as being easier to clean and maintain than the real thing – all helping to add a timeless appeal to any space. That said, if you are choosing to opt for vinyl over real wood flooring, you will understandably want a realistic and authentic


aesthetic, one that looks as good or even better than their natural counterparts. Fortunately, with printing advancements on the market and new embossing techniques, this is entirely achievable. Consider choosing a vinyl with a matte satin emboss, as this can reduce light glare and result in a natural, matte finish that more closely resembles real wood or stone surfaces. Hot welding tends to be the traditional means of installing vinyl amongst installers.
