While at the last count 129 entries were recently removed from the Heritage at Risk Register for positive reasons, a further 138 sites were added. These are the sites in need of urgent action, the ones that have been left to decay, sometimes abandoned by their owners yet ironically deemed   register, there are countless other buildings that once played a vital role in their communities now sitting boarded up and unused on high streets across the country.

Finding the viability The Department for Culture, Media & Sport this year published its research into the repair, maintenance and renewal (RMR) needs in key parts of the cultural sector in England.
