The diggers have arrived and construction is underway on a new SEND school in the Wolsey Park development for Essex County Council. The all-through school will see Key Stages 1 and 2 based
at Wolsey Park in Rayleigh. Key Stages 3 and 4 will be at the former site of Chetwood Primary School in South Woodham Ferrers. Kier Construction has been appointed under a pre-
construction services agreement to support the delivery of the Wolsey Park site. It will provide 150 places in the Wolsey Park development and 102 places at the former site of Chetwood Primary School. Each organisation demonstrates a commitment to delivering the very best for children and families with SEND. Councillor Tony Ball said: “Creating more capacity for
children with SEND is one of our biggest priorities as a council. Every child deserves to thrive and this school is testament to what can be achieved when partners come together with a shared vision for inclusive education in Essex.

Heating customer Service 2 (HVAC) was appointed to design and install a new system capable of delivering dependable year-round performance while reducing carbon emissions. The completed installation is a hybrid system combining two 50kW ECOMOD 290HT air source heat pumps with three wall-mounted Evomax 2 150kW commercial condensing boilers operating in cascade providing 450kW of output.

Clement Windows Group recently manufactured replacement steel windows with intricately shaped heads for Welford & Wickham CE (VA) Primary School in Berkshire. The school, which is for children aged 4-11 years old, is located between Newbury and Hungerford. Built in 1857, the school is not listed, but it alterations need to be in keeping with the original aesthetics of the building. The project was overseen by the
