Zebra Print recruits new sales manager
Call for action from BPIF as it releases Priorities for Print results
The BPIF has outlined a list of priorities for policymakers to help grow the print industry over the next two years.
The organisation released its Priorities for Print Ben Hazelton, sales manager at Zebra Print Group
Ben Hazelton has joined the team at family-owned Zebra Print as the print solutions provider’s new sales manager. He brings over 24 years of industry experience and will add a new dimension to the team’s capabilities, playing a pivotal role in driving new business and enhancing client relationships. In his new position as sales manager, Mr Hazelton will be responsible for generating new commercial opportunities, advising clients from concept through to production, and ensuring that Zebra Print Group’s renowned standards are upheld throughout every project.
He said: “I’m really excited to be joining Zebra Print Group at such an exciting time of growth and innovation. The team’s commitment to quality and creativity really stood out to me, and I’m looking forward to building strong relationships with our clients and helping drive the business forward. It’s a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a company with such a dynamic vision for the future.”
FESPA Future manifesto released
The FESPA Future manifesto details how FESPA connects, inspires and supports its community beyond its global exhibitions. The ways in which FESPA connects, inspires and
supports its community beyond its events include: • It shares insights and signposts trends through its Thought Leadership Partner Keypoint Intelligence, as well as its various channels.
• It stimulates innovation and knowledge-sharing via its website, content hubs and Club FESPA content.
• It promotes sustainability and leads by example, having received ISO Certification for Sustainable Event Management in 2024.
• It actively engages the next generation of printers through its Associations’ activities and Youth Engagement Days at its global exhibitions.
• It reinvests into its Associations’ activities and programmes across the world.
• It provides printed educational resources and other support to underserved communities around the world, while also encouraging sustainable practices across the print sector, through its sister organisation, The FESPA Foundation.

Girls Who Print launches new chapter at PrintExpo
In July, Girls Who Print expanded its global reach by launching a new India chapter at PrintExpo Chennai, a Messe Frankfurt India event. The inaugural initiative is led by GWP India
Advisory Board members Nidhi Agrawal, CEO and co-founder of Design’N’Buy, and Madhura Mahajan, head of department for printing and packaging technology at PVG’s College of Engineering and Technology in Pune. Darshana Chauhan, head of marketing at Messe Frankfurt India and a member of the company’s extended Board of Management, has also joined the GWP India advisory board in support of the GWP mission and a stronger, more inclusive industry. Wrights Plastics cuts 300 tonnes of CO2 emissions with solar panel investment
Nearly two years after installing solar panels at its West Bromwich HQ, Wrights Plastics has confirmed major carbon cutting results. To date the plastic fabricator has reduced its CO2 emissions by 317.66 tonnes and saved 127 tonnes of standard coal. This is the environmental impact equivalent of planting 176 trees. The figures highlight the success of Wrights Plastics’ wider sustainability strategy, which focuses on energy efficiency, reducing waste, and investing in more sustainable production methods. Andy Watkins, director at Wrights Plastics, said: “These results show our long-term investment in sustainability is making a real difference. We’re proud to be helping reduce
emissions and supporting a more energy-resilient future for UK manufacturing.” The solar initiative is part of Wrights Plastics’ broader commitment to sustainable manufacturing, with additional investments in energy-saving equipment and process innovation across its operations.
The solar panel installation was completed in the summer of 2023 and covers 90% of the roof space.
