NEW PRODUCTS HEAT PUMP

Water heater fully compliant with ErP Part L regulations

The Juniper HP Plus is a new indoor heat pump water heater launched by MODUTHERM. Available in left- or right-handed versions, the Juniper HP Plus integrates an efficient air source heat pump with a high-quality stainless steel cylinder for powerful and convenient hot water production – suitable for electric-only residential or light commercial projects. The unit transforms ‘free’ energy from the outside air or waste heat from within the property into a low-cost, renewable domestic hot water source. For larger properties, or where there’s a need for additional domestic hot water, multiple Juniper HP Plus water heaters can be installed in parallel. The unit uses R290 and is available in 200- and

300-litre capacities with left- or right- handed front/side-mounted water connections to facilitate straightforward integration with pipework affixed to an adjacent wall, ensuring

symmetry in pipework installation across all properties. Able to achieve a COP of up to 3.80, the product is listed in SAP Appendix Q and is fully compliant with ErP Part L regulations. Advanced software allows it to automatically optimise performance for maximum efficiency. The Juniper HP Plus can be controlled locally or remotely via a mobile app, and it is also compatible with Modutherm’s Decoral WiFi Electric aluminium radiators. It comes with a 5-year tank

and 2-year parts warranty. ■ www.modutherm.co.uk

CONDENSING BOILER

New boiler additions extend Evojet range output up to 3MW

Four new high-capacity models have been added to the Evojet pressure jet boiler range from IDEAL HEATING – Commercial Products. Available with outputs of 1,750, 2,100, 2,600, and 3,000kW, the range serves a wide variety of large-scale applications. These floor-standing

condensing boilers are well-suited for use in major public facilities like hospitals and leisure

centres, as well as commercial heat networks and other substantial heating projects. A space-saving design makes it a practical alternative to cascades of smaller boilers. These boilers feature a double return

condensing system (connections for high or low temperature return water) which enables them to keep the temperature difference between the heat exchanger wall and the return water high, thus maximising the formation of condensation. This, combined with the 3-pass layout, the titanium stabilised stainless steel internal components

and extensive insulation, combine to provide a high level of efficiency and reliability. The new Evojet boilers are suited

to use with multiple burner types for maximum flexibility, and modulation of the burner can be provided via 0-10 volt BMS or RWF controller. This allows the boilers to achieve compliance with the seasonal efficiency requirements of Building Regulations Part L Vol.2 2022, and MCPD in regard to NOx emissions. A two year warranty comes as

standard on all Evojet models. ■ idealcommercialboilers.com

HUMIDIFIER Mobile solution for temporary use

Designed to provide flexible humidity control for temporary installations, the CONDAIR PureHum 1000 Pro humidifier is a mobile solution for applications like museums and art galleries, where humidity control can be a temporary requirement during an exhibition period. The unit has been designed for

spaces up to 1,000m3 in size. It offers features, such as a tamper-proof control system and lockable castor wheels, to allow for easy set-up and monitoring wherever humidity control is needed on a temporary basis. The unit has a 50 litre water tank,

allowing for extended use without refilling, and an automatic shut-off protects against low water levels. A UV-water sterilisation system treats the water with ultraviolet light to kill germs and combat microbial growth. With a maximum output of 2.7 litres per hour, the unit is suited to a small to medium sized room. A top-mounted touchscreen control panel provides data on current room conditions, water level and operating parameters. A safety glass cover prevents tampering, whilst

allowing the screen to be viewed. A remote humidistat sends a

wireless signal to the PureHum 1000 Pro, to manage output in line with the desired room humidity level. When multiple units are used across an area, control can be centralised via a single humidistat or managed individually with one humidistat per humidifier. Filters are included to control dust and fine particles. Optional HEPA and carbon filtration upgrades are also available to

purify air quality. ■ www.condair.co.uk

DETECTION SYSTEM

Refrigerant gas sensor with 15+ year lifetime, no calibration required

Said to offer significant improvements over traditional refrigerant gas sensors, the new AquiTron AT-SRG air conditioning and heat pump refrigerant leak detection system from AQUILAR offers protection for end users, building occupiers and the environment. It is suitable for single to large multi-zone installations. The sensor has a 15+ year lifetime without requiring any calibration, providing a low lifetime cost of ownership. It is designed to be compact, aesthetically-pleasing, and easy to

install and set up, as no calibration is needed. It is also immune to poisoning from common household substances like hair spray and deodorants, and it automatically compensates for changes in temperature and humidity. It offers multiple alarm outputs for centralised monitoring and BMS integration. Interchangeable sensor heads for

different refrigerant types allow the system to be adapted over time, making it a future-proof solution that contributes to compliance with refrigerant safety standards . The sensor is essential as part of

a life safety system for continuous monitoring of refrigerant gas leaks from air conditioning and heat pump systems serving occupied spaces – especially for where high-efficiency, high-volume refrigerant cooling and heating systems are used to keep the indoor environment

comfortable. ■ www.aquilar.co.uk
