NEW PRODUCTS UPS SYSTEMS

No breaks for critical power

The MASTERYS GP4 uninterruptible power supply (UPS) range from SOCOMEC has been enhanced with the addition of 200kVA/kW and 250kVA/kW models.

Designed for applications where LOW-TEMPERATURE CHILLERS Going deeper on industrial cooling

Targeting applications including food and beverage processing, refrigerated storage, pharmaceutical and chemical facilities, TRANE has launched the Aries N Deep Freezing chiller, a packaged screw compressor system designed to provide leaving fluid temperatures down to -30°C for industrial cooling applications. Available with capacities up to

360kW, the Aries N Deep Freezing is designed as a factory-engineered alternative to bespoke ammonia or CO2 systems.

The chiller is available in seven

sizes with single- and dual-circuit configurations. Each circuit uses a variable frequency drive (VFD) screw compressor, alongside a microchannel condenser and brazed plate heat

exchanger evaporator. The system operates across leaving

fluid temperatures from -12°C to -30°C and ambient conditions from -20°C to +46°C. The range is SEPR-LT compliant for low-temperature applications and includes SDS2E safety features for R290 refrigerant, including leak detection and gas expulsion systems. “Most industrial sites require thermal management systems across a range of temperature levels, from deep freezing up to process heating. Trane’s thermal systems portfolio helps customers address all these needs while repurposing waste energy, and delivering efficiency gains up to 170%,” says Erik Van Oossanen,

electrical continuity is critical, including data centres and commercial or industrial buildings, the three-phase UPS range is available in outputs from 10kVA/kW to 250kVA/kW. The new high-efficiency models

use silicon carbide (SiC) technology to improve efficiency during double- conversion operation. All models also feature Socomec’s Smart Conversion Mode, which is designed to increase operating efficiency while maintaining power protection. The system can achieve efficiencies of up to 99% under stable conditions while maintaining an active inverter for immediate response to power disturbances. In VFI mode, the high-efficiency models offer efficiencies of up to 97.5%. The MASTERYS GP4 is designed without a single point of failure and includes an integrated static bypass to maintain power during overloads or maintenance. The range has a mean time

between failures of up to 350,000 hours in VFI mode. “Organisations are under growing

pressure to increase capacity without compromising uptime, particularly as energy demands continue to rise,” said Justin Killick, country manager, critical power. “Historically, that has come at the cost of efficiency. MASTERYS GP4 addresses this challenge by combining continuous protection with a more efficient approach to redundancy, helping operators support higher loads without

unnecessary energy overhead.” ■ socomec.co.uk/en-gb

ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEM A battery built for high energy use INDUSTRIAL LIGHTING Flexible solution for changing spaces

To help contractors adapt lighting for different warehouse and industrial applications using a single product, COLLINGWOOD LIGHTING has launched the Tri Bay high bay fitting. The range includes two models with adjustable beam angles, allowing installers to switch between a 100° beam for open areas and a 30° x 90° beam for racking applications. The fittings also offer adjustable lumen outputs to suit different ceiling heights and visibility requirements. The Tri Bay range includes plug-in PIR, microwave, daylight linking and wireless control options to help reduce energy use. Accessories include wire guards, anti- glare honeycomb mesh and a range of refractors. Designed with

AMPD ENERGY has launched its next generation of energy storage systems (ESS), the Ampd 200 and Ampd 400, designed for temporary power applications in heavy industrial environments. The new systems

follow the company’s Enertainer ESS and are aimed at sectors including construction, infrastructure, concrete batching, oil and gas, mining, ports and events.

fittings are compact and lightweight, allowing one person to install and adjust the unit while working at height. The LED fittings have a rated lamp life of 100,000 hours L70 and feature impact and corrosion-resistant housing, a removable driver and warranty cover. Senior product manager

for Collingwood Lighting, Anthony Martindale, says:

“Modern warehouses must rapidly reconfigure floor plans as their workflows change. This means that customers need flexible lighting that is easily reconfigured to meet their new storage requirements. Tri Bay allows you to quickly adapt the lighting without having

to install new fittings.” ■ www.collingwood lighting.com

The Ampd 200 and Ampd 400 provide outputs of up to 292kW/297kVA and 585kW/595kVA respectively, with continuous outputs of 193kW/214kVA and 386kW/428kVA. The new models build on the previous Enertainer range with increased power capability and wider application potential.

Both systems

are certified by SGS to International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and Underwriters Laboratories (UL) standards for energy storage systems. CEO Anthony Stewart

comments: “This is the latest stage in Ampd’s journey to modernise how heavy industrial sites access mobile power and support their energy transition. With these new products, we can now cater to higher energy use cases.

“Combined with a higher IP rating, this expands our deployment opportunities in construction and enables us to break into new industries. We see the new Ampd range empowering us to support a wide array of heavy industries, improve productivity, deliver strong commercials, and make a positive environmental

impact.” ■ www.ampd.energy
