Water heaters for high demand applications


The commercial hot water and heating range from ACV UK has been expanded with the launch of the WaterMaster Evo 2 gas-fired condensing water heater and the HeatMaster Evo 2 commercial combi boiler. Available in six models


Ceiling heater designed for low- temperature systems


The CurveVector cassette heater from SPC is a ceiling-mounted unit designed to provide even heat distribution in schools, offices and public buildings while keeping walls and floors clear. The CurveVector uses a circular


discharge grille to distribute warm air across 360 degrees and is designed to fit into standard 600mm x 600mm suspended ceiling grids or open ceiling designs. SPC says the design helps reduce cold spots associated with some conventional wall-mounted and perimeter heating systems. The unit has been developed for use


with low water temperature heat pump systems, as well as condensing boilers


and waste heat recovery installations. It is available with two- or three-row heating coils, delivering outputs from 2.9kW to 8.4kW depending on water temperature. An EC fan motor is used to help reduce


energy consumption, with noise levels as low as 29 NR, making it suitable for areas including classrooms, libraries and reception spaces. Installation features include adjustable suspension brackets, side-mounted 22mm copper pipe connections and a rotatable grille to assist with positioning. from 25 to 120kW, the new products include an integrated time clock, allowing hot water to be scheduled around building occupancy. They are designed for commercial applications including offices, schools, healthcare facilities and hospitality venues. The WaterMaster Evo 2 and HeatMaster Evo 2 offer hot water flow rates of 473 to 1,754 litres per hour at 60°C. Both feature integrated hot water storage and can be installed in cascade where higher demand is required. The HeatMaster Evo 2 combines space heating and domestic hot


water in a single appliance to reduce plant room space requirements. The units use ACV UK’s


tank-in-tank technology, with stainless steel used for both the inner tank and heat exchanger. This provides resistance to scaling and corrosion,


making the products suitable for both hard and soft water areas. The range is also designed to support legionella risk management by maintaining consistent storage temperatures and water circulation. ▄ www.acv.com/gb

Controller brings commercial systems together


The Hybrid System Controller is BAXI’s central control platform designed to simplify the installation, commissioning and management of commercial heating and cooling systems. The controller acts as a mini Building Management System (BMS), providing a single point of control for boilers, heat pumps, hybrid systems, hot water and heating or cooling zones. It can manage up to eight boilers or heat pumps and supports one heating zone and one domestic hot water zone as standard, with additional zones available through the SCB-10 extension box. The system includes buffer tank management, integration with selected third-party boilers and a gateway for legacy systems. It can be accessed remotely or on site through an Ethernet connection and a 7-inch touchscreen controller.

BOSCH COMMERCIAL & INDUSTRIAL has added a new 620kW model to its Condens 7000 FP commercial boiler range, extending the available outputs to meet higher heating demands.


The Condens 7000 FP


range was launched in 2022 with outputs from 350 to 500kW. The addition of the 620kW model provides a further option for commercial heating applications. The boiler can be


heat pumps and gas boilers in hybrid systems, depending on operating requirements. It is compatible with products including Baxi Auriga heat pumps and Quinta Ace gas boilers, and can connect to Building Management Systems using ModBus TCP, MODbus RTU, BACNet or 0-10V. The controller is designed for both
