SMART BUILDINGS SHOW 2026 PREVIEW
The Conference The two-day Smart Buildings Show Conference is at the heart of the event, bringing together more than 120 speakers across four dedicated theatres. With free access for visitors, the programme provides an opportunity to hear directly from experts working across the smart buildings sector and explore the issues that are shaping the future of commercial buildings. The 2026 programme spans
Showing off smart thinking
Smart Buildings Show returns to ExCeL London from 14th-15th October 2026. The 2025 event was the biggest yet, with more exhibitors than ever before and 3,500 attendees passing through the doors over two days. This year’s show is set to be bigger and better, with another packed programme of innovation and industry insight.
T
his year, more than 100 exhibitors will come together under one roof to showcase the latest technologies,
products and trends shaping the smart buildings market. Alongside the exhibition, the conference programme will feature more than 120 speakers across four dedicated theatres. Smart Buildings Show brings
together the latest innovations and thinking from across the sector, giving visitors the opportunity to explore the technologies and strategies that can help make commercial buildings more efficient, cost-effective and comfortable.
Measurable improvements The smart buildings sector is moving beyond connected devices and dashboards towards a more practical question: how can data, automation and intelligent control deliver measurable improvements in energy performance, operational efficiency and occupant comfort? The show brings together
technology providers, building operators, engineers and other professionals involved in the development and management of smarter commercial buildings. For energy managers and facilities
professionals, the attraction is not simply the opportunity to see the latest technology. It is the chance to understand how building management systems, controls, monitoring and metering, connected

HVAC, lighting, IAQ solutions and other technologies can work together to reduce energy consumption without compromising building performance. That practical focus is particularly
relevant as organisations continue to face pressure to reduce both energy costs and carbon emissions. For EiBI’s audience, Smart Buildings Show offers an opportunity to assess technologies on what they can deliver in practice: providing reliable operational data, identifying opportunities to save energy and supporting better-informed decisions. As smart building technologies
become increasingly important to energy efficiency and decarbonisation strategies, the 2026 show provides a valuable snapshot of where the market is heading – and which innovations are capable of making a tangible difference.
Here’s what you can see and do at this year’s show:
● Get practical information to help make your buildings more efficient and cost-effective
● Discover the latest technologies, innovations and thinking from across the industry
● Learn from case studies and the experiences of organisations facing similar challenges
● Catch up with existing suppliers and meet new ones
● Discover new partners, products and business opportunities
● Share experiences and ideas with peers
● Find new ways to reduce costs and improve building performance
four theatres covering Energy Management, Controls & Networks, IT & Digital Infrastructure, and Management & PropTech, providing a broad perspective on both the technology itself and the practical challenges of implementing it. Sessions will cover subjects including building automation, connectivity, AI, cybersecurity, data and analytics, digital twins, energy efficiency, HVAC, sensors, software, sustainability and workplace management. The Energy Management theatre will be particularly relevant, with a focus on technologies and strategies that can help organisations reduce consumption, manage costs and improve building performance. Meanwhile, sessions on controls and networks will examine how connected systems can communicate and work together more effectively. The IT & Digital Infrastructure
theatre will address some of the increasingly important issues around the digital side of smart buildings, including data, cybersecurity and the infrastructure needed to support connected buildings. The Management & PropTech theatre broadens the discussion further, looking at how technology is changing the way buildings, workplaces and property portfolios are managed. The breadth of the programme means visitors can move beyond individual products and technologies to consider the wider picture: how different systems fit together, what is happening across the market and how other organisations are approaching the challenges of creating more efficient and better-performing buildings.
The venue Smart Buildings Show returns to ExCeL London, a well-connected venue in the Royal Docks with direct access via Custom House on the Elizabeth line and DLR. Its location makes it accessible to visitors travelling from across the UK, while its own focus on connectivity and sustainability provides an appropriate backdrop for an event centred on the future of the built environment.
