NEW PRODUCTS PUMP SYSTEM

Ensuring continuous operation without disruption

AC CONTROLLER

IoT-ready centralised controller offers instant access to 400 units

Designed to manage up to 400 air conditioning units remotely, the AE- C400E centralised controller from MITSUBISHI Electric is IoT-ready and comes with a high-precision, durable 12.1” glass capacitive touchscreen with quick-response multi-touch capabilities. The built-in IoT gateway allows

access to Mitsubishi Electric’s powerful MELCloud Commercial platform, which can then allow facilities managers to remotely access their entire estate’s HVAC. By using the webpage function they will be able to see up to 2,000 indoor units anywhere, to deliver full control along with detailed monitoring and reporting to help improve on-site maintenance.

People in control of a building’s

air conditioning and ventilation will be able to make informed decisions about air quality and comfort settings in individual spaces or across a floor or building, to full system operation and performance. The AE-C400E unit helps to simplify day-to-day system management and includes an easily accessible USB-C port, allowing system data to be downloaded. The AE-C400E offers the ability to manage up to 50 indoor units, straight out of the box, with additional blocks of 50 units added through the EW-C50 expansion module. This enables the system to be scaled up to 400 units,

across an entire network. ■ les.mitsubishielectric.co.uk

The Design Envelope Tango is a dual pump system developed by ARMSTRONG to maintain continuous operation even during maintenance activities. This pump features two motors and two impeller assemblies within a single casing, allowing for one side to be isolated for servicing without disrupting flow or occupant comfort. The latest models come in larger sizes with motor options ranging from 15 to 40 horsepower, capable of handling applications up to 120 litres per second. This compact pump solution combines

built-in parallel pumping with robust performance and reduced installation costs. Because the two rotating devices share a single casing, installation requires less piping. In addition, the Vertical In-Line orientation means the pump is installed in the piping and does not require an inertia base.

Design Envelope technology includes

patented Parallel Sensorless operation, increases flow turn-down and provides built- in flow metering for superior flow control. The energy-efficient design is said to reduce operating costs by up to 80% and lifecycle costs by up to 40%. As Tango provides an effective alternative to full duty standby, it can also reduce embodied carbon. Additionally, it includes the Pump Manager, a cloud-based service that offers analytics and diagnostics to improve HVAC

system efficiency. ■ armstrongfluidtechnology.com

VALVE ACTUATOR Simplifying the tasks of system integrators

Targeting building management system (BMS) applications, RESIDEO has introduced a linear valve actuator designed to enhance the maintenance and performance of hydronic valves used in commercial heating and cooling systems. It features precision-controlled motors to ensure efficient operation. Set to be available

across Europe from this summer, the actuator is intended to simplify the tasks of system integrators. It boasts features such as IP54 rated protection and a five-year warranty, backed by Resideo’s extensive experience in valve and control engineering. Maintenance has been streamlined, allowing control adjustments via a

rotary selector without the need to open the cover. The actuator offers

versatility with a range of control options, including modulating, three-point, and on/off settings, and is compatible with various units, such as air handling and fan coil units. “We are delighted to be bringing this product to the market to help make a system integrator’s job simpler and easier,” says Sylvain Baladon, global

water product director at Resideo. “We know how important it is for this audience to buy high quality products with the right technical specification and support, reliable product availability, compatibility, and ease of system maintenance. Our new actuator has been designed to be reliable, cost-effective and is ready for multi-purpose

applications.” ■ www.resideo.com

TRINA STORAGE has introduced the Elementa 2 Pro, a new 5 megawatt- hour (MWh) energy storage system. This system builds on the company’s earlier models and is designed to meet the growing needs of energy markets around the world. It features an advanced 314 amp-hour cell with a claimed cycle life of up to 15,000 cycles, which supports long-term operation and reduced replacement costs. With a compact design, the Elementa

2 Pro features side-by-side and back- to-back configurations aimed at saving space, particularly in urban or industrial locations where space is limited. The system also incorporates noise reduction technology, operating at a

noise level of 70 decibels. Temperature control is managed through hybrid cooling, keeping internal temperature variation within 2.5°C. In colder conditions, the system is designed to reduce auxiliary power use by up to 30%. The unit uses electric vehicle-grade

cells and includes safety features such as a triple-layer protection system and an emergency stop function. It also integrates smart monitoring tools, including real-time cell-level temperature tracking and automated software updates, to enhance operational efficiency and lower maintenance requirements. “The launch of the Elementa 2 Pro

5MWh system marks a significant milestone in Trina Storage’s commitment to innovation and sustainability,” said Wei Deng, head of global product at Trina Storage. “We are confident that this advanced solution will support the transition to clean energy and help accelerate the global

transition to clean energy.” ■ www.trinasolar.com
