High efficiency uninterruptible power supply system
SOCOMEC has introduced the Delphys XM, an advanced uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system. Designed to meet the needs of modern data centres and critical infrastructures, this system offers a power range from 300 to 800 kVA/kW. The Delphys XM features a high power density, claiming to deliver 1 MW of power in a footprint of just 1 square metre, which is a 50% reduction compared to typical UPS models. This compact design aims to optimise operational space, addressing the increasing demand for power in constrained environments. The UPS achieves up to 99% efficiency
in Smart Conversion mode and 97.1% in online double conversion mode. This efficiency not only lowers operational costs but also reduces energy consumption and cooling requirements, contributing to lower carbon emissions. In addition to its power efficiency, the

It includes a 10-inch human-machine interface (HMI) touchscreen for straightforward monitoring, along with LED indicators for quick status checks. The system supports real-time remote troubleshooting and fault analysis, allowing operators to respond to issues promptly. The modular architecture of the Delphys XM features hot-swappable

capacity range from 20 to 500kW and can be configured in both single and back-to-back layouts. Its modular design allows for integration into various data centre setups, including both raised and hard floor configurations. The design incorporates advanced controls and modern components, ensuring adaptability to specific cooling needs. Lennox has emphasised a more engineering-focused approach, allowing for customisation of internal components such as fans and heat exchangers based on the unique requirements of each facility. This flexibility enables a tailored solution rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.
