“I can’t recall playing anything recently, which is very unlike me, but after interviewing Elle Dwight (p42), I did go out and buy the Alien RPG Core Book - which is also very unlike me as I’ve not played a tabletop RPG since I was 14 and I doubt I will again soon. Not on a tabletop anyway. Bloody nice book though!”

Richie Shoemaker, Editor
“Hello again! I hit Level 100 on Fall Guys this month, and I’m getting dangerously close to doing the same on Fortnite. Outside of those regulars, I’ve been dabbling with WB Games new Smash- fighter MultiVersus and taking a trip down memory lane with the Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition. As a teenager I just had the not-so-special edition, so the changes are interesting.”
Vince Pavey, Staff Writer
“I’ve been playing Gearbox’ Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands a lot again. Outside of that and ahead of gamescom later this month, I’ve just been learning German on Duolingo with my kids, for better or wurst (sorry). Duolingo counts as a video game, right?”

Pet: Havoc Owner: Andrew James Owner’s job: Brand manager for Life is Strange at Square Enix
Havoc enjoys being present (but just out of shot) for morning Zoom calls, the best time of day for scritches. After that, she helps out with planning by lying on whatever keyboards are nearby, and making sure to guard the nearest spaghetti of cables. If a USB drive, mouse, or ballpoint just happens to take a tumble off the desk – well, it was nothing to do with her.

Pet: Zdeno Owner: Andrew James Owner’s job: Brand manager for Life is Strange at Square Enix
Zdeno provides significant moral support by taking a snooze on whichever large, elevated rectangles are provided, with recent spots being the top of a desktop PC, and whichever bit of the desk has most recently had a laptop on it. When not monitoring the goings-on from a nearby windowsill, she can be found eating in the kitchen, sleeping in the kitchen, or asking for more food in the kitchen.
Pet: Gaston Owner: Richie Shoemaker Owner’s job: Editor at MCV/ DEVELOP
Gaston was rescued (aka won) at a local fair in Paris, then smuggled to the UK when the family moved back to the motherland in 2019. He (we assume) has been through a lot in his short lifetime, especially as he shares a room with two young feral children.
