Simply Ice Cream earns national recognition for Heavenly Honeycomb

Kent-based artisan producer Simply Ice Cream has received national recognition after its Heavenly Honeycomb Ice Cream was named Highly Commended in the Best Frozen Product category at the Food Management Today Industry Awards 2026. The accolade places the independent

producer alongside major finalists including Aldi, Iceland and Lidl, marking a significant achievement for the business. Founded by Sally Newall more than

20 years ago, Simply Ice Cream has built its reputation around traditional production methods, with each batch still hand-whisked using fresh cream and milk, natural ingredients and no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. Heavenly Honeycomb combines rich, creamy ice cream with pieces

of the company’s handmade crunchy honeycomb and has become one of its signature flavours. Newall said: “We’re absolutely delighted

to receive this recognition for our Heavenly Honeycomb Ice Cream. To be recognised by the Food Management Today Industry

Awards, especially alongside such well- known brands, is a fantastic achievement for our small team.”

She added that the business has always

focused on quality ingredients, simple recipes and handmade production, making the award particularly rewarding. Simply Ice Cream has grown from

a family-run operation in the Kent countryside into one of the South East’s leading artisan ice cream producers. The company now produces more than 30 flavours and supplies hundreds of farm shops, cafés, restaurants, hotels and retailers across London and the South East. Despite its expansion, production

remains based at its Kent facility, where the company continues to make its ice cream by hand.

Khoury’s launched at Harrods Chocolate Hall on 15 July, marking a return to the department store for founder Philip Khoury exactly one year after he left his role as Head Pastry Chef. Khoury’s began in 2025 after Phil

created the Beirut bar for a charity bake sale supporting young people affected by the conflict in Lebanon. Combining orange blossom caramel

with cashew baklava crunch, the bar went viral and became the foundation for the brand. The Harrods collection features six

bars from Khoury’s city series, each inspired by a location: Beirut, London, New York, Paris, Doha and Oaxaca. Flavours include Earl Grey and biscuits, apple pie, hazelnut praline and caramel, and cardamom coffee with dates. Each bar is priced at £15.

The launch also featured Khoury’s

coated nut range, including almond, pistachio and hazelnut varieties. Each nut is roasted, caramelised and coated in chocolate made from the same nut, using four natural ingredients. Philip Khoury said: “Harrods was home for so long. I always secretly hoped I’d find my way back one day.” Khoury’s is now available at Harrods Chocolate Hall and Harrods.com.
