FORKLIFT TRUCKS F
actories, warehouses, and logistics operations are all different. No two
operations face identical challenges. In the past, this has made specifying the right lift trucks challenging for some. With the introduction of the Hyster A Series
lift trucks, we are aiming to make this process simpler with a new way for businesses to easily fine tune a forklift to match their specific industry and application needs. Here is how.
A+ LOGIC A+ Logic is a fully integrated set of scalable and adjustable features that allow users to fine-tune the truck to match their specific application needs. With the Hyster A Series, instead of providing users with options for a truck we already built, we build the truck they need according to the duty cycle, environment, and tasks. That is why we describe this series as ‘Distinctly Hyster, built for you’. With A+ Logic at the core, the new
scalable Hyster lift trucks can be configured with a range of features to help overcome common materials handling challenges, while delivering a low total cost of ownership. The scalable design philosophy makes it easy for businesses to add the features that are needed for productivity in their operation and avoid paying for unnecessary options that increase cost without adding value.
OPTIMISING DRIVER AWARENESS Sometimes in materials handling applications, lift trucks will be operating indoors in production areas and warehouses. In this environment, noise and other distractions can often represent a risk, especially if the truck is working in the vicinity of pedestrians. If the application requires, a Hyster A Series
lift truck can be built with a mix of features to support driver awareness. For instance, blue and red spotlights, red line awareness lights, and/or a visible alarm can be chosen to help indicate to pedestrians where a truck is, and that it is moving or working. The new A series also has the option of
the Dynamic Stability System (DSS) designed to optimise driver performance. This is an important feature for operations with a frequently changing workforce, such as warehouses. DSS supports both lateral and forward stability
through truck system control that is designed to reinforce proper driving operation. DSS includes active hydraulic tilt and hoist limits, traction speed limits, and sometimes speed/acceleration de-rates (depending on stability critical scenarios and truck configuration). To support the operator, DSS also provides alerts

via the truck display based on both real-time truck performance and the loads on the forks. If the Hyster Tracker telematics system is fitted, all events can also be logged, providing supervisors with valuable data on operator performance as well as clear insight into truck incidents. The Hyster A Series lift trucks also offer excellent
all-round visibility, giving operators the ability to see their surroundings quickly and clearly. With a
new mast design, the A Series provides excellent through-mast visibility to help improve awareness of the environment. Configurations with a cabin can also benefit from a high-strength laminated glass roof for an unobstructed upwards view. The truck can also be fine-tuned with mirror and camera options. The mast design also provides excellent fork tip visibility when handling loads, and a fork
