tilising the latest data from social media platforms, the Nordic brand has researched the interior design
styles that are being searched and shared right now to pull together their predictions.

Feathr, says: “Social media is shaping the interior trends of the future and by mining data across different platforms, we have identified the styles that are captivating people’s imaginations.” From baroque-inspired interiors to wickedly on-trend greens, here the experts at Feathr share their top five picks for wallpaper trends for 2025.
Rock the Baroque The trend for Baroque, neo-classical and dramatic vintage interiors seems only to be increasing. This style brings a touch of historical drama to modern interiors, creating a look that’s all about rich textures, intricate details, and a hint of decadence. Imagine walking into a room where antique meets eclectic: velvet armchairs in deep teal, ornate gold fixtures, and distressed walls that tell stories of another era. This trend is perfect for those who love a bit of old-world charm with a fresh twist. It’s all about balance, pairing elaborate mouldings and carved furniture with bold pops of colour like mustard yellow or vibrant turquoise. The result? A space that feels opulent but also approachable. Puukko says: “Rock the Baroque isn’t just about filling a room with luxurious items; it’s about the art of contrast. The aged patina of weathered furniture juxtaposed with plush textiles and detailed accessories, such as classical busts or ornate candleholders, adds depth and character.

Modern Mediterranean The rustic charm of Mediterranean interiors suits the current desire for earthy colours and stylish comfort. Key elements include natural materials like stone, terracotta, and wood, which create a grounded, organic feel. Neutral palettes form the
base, with subtle pops of colour from rich, warm hues, think burnt orange, deep red, and soft blues reminiscent of traditional Mediterranean tiles. The furniture is a mix of plush, curved sofas and simple, rustic pieces like woven chairs and wooden coffee tables, combining modern shapes with artisanal craftsmanship. Puukko says: “The Modern Mediterranean trend embodies effortless luxury, blending heritage with modernity for spaces that feel timeless, soulful, and welcoming.”
Japandi unleashed Interest in all things Japandi, wabi sabi and earthy Scandinavian styles remain strong. This look blends the best of Japanese minimalism and Scandinavian comfort into one harmonious style, emphasising clean lines, functional beauty, and the serene use of space.
For 2025 Japandi gets unleashed
from its traditional muted colour palette, mixing instead soft, earthy tones with muted pinks, soft sages and calm blues. The use of raw, organic materials such as wood, stone, and linen, infuses spaces with warmth and texture, balancing the stark minimalism of its Japanese roots with the cosiness of Scandinavian design.
Artfully Deco
The glamour and geometric elegance of the Art Deco era is being reimagined for modern interiors, building on the recent trends for curves and decadent finishes. It’s a look that marries drama and sophistication while maintaining a sense of playfulness. Key to this trend are statement pieces that evoke the opulence of the 1920s. Arched headboards, rich velvet furnishings in jewel tones, and polished wood cabinets bring an element of luxury, while sleek lines and curvilinear shapes keep the space dynamic and visually engaging.
