ABUS is adding the Vela Range Modula Assembly System this autumn to its security and safety portfolio. The Vela locking system offers the new Inspect System that provides an additional access detection authorisation query in the cylinder in that, if a manipulated key is inserted, the unit blocks the cylinders core. The modern reversible key system with horizontal key insertion offers users maximum locking convenience, while the high quality precision profile ensures easy key insertion. Vela is ideal for small master key systems that are required in apartment blocks and small commercial properties and is perfect for flats and private homes with its single-differ or keyed-alike Vela MX cylinder and long key shoulder i.e. suitable for thicker door fittings. This is a low-cost solution to reduce the need to carry large numbers of cylinder sizes. ABUS MX Vela Modular offers tool-free modification; double, knob and half cylinders; increased anti-pull protection, thanks to the modular stainless steel bar (web); increased protection against drilling as standard and stainless steel anti-drill inlay.
