Managing Director of Holden Décor Wallpaper, Neil Duerden has joined BHETA’s DIY and Garden committee. Duerden has over 25 years’ experience within the UK, European & US DIY industry, specifically in decorative paint, wallpaper, tiles and adhesives. Promotion for Peter Clayton to Group Sales and Marketing Director at Centurion Europe
Centurion Europe has announced that Peter Clayton has been promoted to the position of Sales and Marketing Director for the group of companies with immediate effect.
Clayton joined the company in September 2012 and has made
a massive contribution, starting as Area Sales Manager for Centurion, he quickly adapted to his new role and by September the following year was promoted to Key Account Manager for the Spectrum Industrial brand and then in 2016 was promoted to Head of Sales and more recently also became responsible for sales of Visual Group as well as Spectrum.

Richard Claxton GP joins the Greenfingers Board of Trustees
The Greenfingers Charity’s Board of Trustees has further expanded with the inclusion of Richard Claxton, GP and therapeutic garden designer.
Claxton, who trained at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals Medical School has specialised in both
paediatrics and general practice medicine. After a long career that has spanned over 25 years, Claxton has now retrained as a garden designer, and specialises in creating garden spaces that focus heavily on the mental and physical wellbeing that gardening provides as well as placing biodiversity and the integration of wildlife at the heart of the garden. Talking about this new role, Claxton said: “I couldn’t be happier to be appointed as a Trustee of Greenfingers. As a charity it’s the perfect fit for me; harnessing the importance of nature through special gardens for children, their families and the hospice staff to spend precious time within.”
Toby Peacock is crowned Screwfix Top Tradesperson 2022
Toby Peacock, a Cambridge electrician, has proved he is the brightest spark and has been officially announced as the winner of Screwfix Top Tradesperson 2022. Peacock, 26, was presented with the award during Screwfix Live, held
at Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre, earlier this year. The electrician walks away with the prestigious title and ultimate trade bundle consisting of £10,000 worth of tools, £5,000 worth of technology and £5,000 towards future training. Taking part in the final against nine other high-calibre tradespeople from across the UK and Ireland, Peacock faced a panel of esteemed industry experts. Peacock was a stand-out winner, speaking to the judges openly about his own personal struggles with mental health and how that has driven him to want to become an advocate for mental health in the trade industry.
