Adam Dunnett leaves Wyevale Nurseries


Wyevale Nurseries announced that Adam Dunnett has decided to move on from his post as sales and marketing director and will be relocating and taking up the role of amenity sales director at Hillier Nurseries in Hampshire. Mr Dunnett said of the move: thoroughly


“I’ve enjoyed my


time at Wyevale Nurseries and we’ve seen lots of positive developments throughout the business. I feel now is the right time to move on to a new challenge.


I leave knowing


that the team will continue to go from strength-to-strength. There are exciting times ahead.” Wyevale managing director Andy Johnson said: “We would very much like to thank Adam for his contribution to the company during the past four and a half years.


“He joined us at a time of significant change as we restructured the company and he contributed in helping us with rebranding and repositioning the business within both the amenity and retail sectors. “Adam has


helped build-


up a really strong, capable team and we are completely confident that they will pick-up his workload in the short-term while we continue to take the business forward and appoint a successor. “We have built great momentum in developing our product range and service in the amenity and retail sectors and this process will continue in the year ahead.”


He concluded: “We would like to wish Adam the best of luck for the future. He has been an asset to our company and a dedicated member of our team, and on a personal note, he will be missed.”


IHA appoints new president


Derek Miller has been named president of the International Housewares Association (IHA), succeeding Phil Brandl who will retire at the end this year. He is currently IHA’s vice president, global marketing, and will take up his new role of president on October 1. Phil will remain at IHA until December 31. Mr


Brandl said: “We


have a great staff and senior management team at IHA, and Derek has been an incredibly integral part of that for a long time. I congratulate Derek and believe he’s a great choice to lead


the IHA organisation.”


Mr Miller commented: “Having worked in housewares for more than 22 years, I’m extremely pleased to continue serving the industry, the International Home + Housewares Show [a trade exhibition held annually in Chicago which is operated by IHA] and the IHA through this new position. I look forward to working with the IHA board of directors and leading the IHA staff to further develop the Show and other projects for the benefit of our entire industry.”


He joined IHA in December


1999 as director, international business development, and was named vice president, international services in 2001.
