First team player, committee member and groundsman Sam Thompson said the sponsorship had made a huge difference to the club and allowed it to plan improvements to the ground. “Running an amateur sports club is financially testing at the best of times and Covid-19 has only exaggerated that,” he said. “Sponsorships can provide a lifeline to clubs and we are extremely grateful for the backing of Selco.”

Burton-based roof tile manufacturer Russell Roof Tiles is to become League One Burton Albion Football Club’s shirt sponsors.


The roof tile manufacturer is sponsoring both Burton Albion’s home and away jerseys for the 2020-2021 season – which will


purchased by supporters. The company has supported the club – known as the Brewers – for several years, sponsoring the East Stand at the Pirelli Stadium since 2018, as well as the shirts of the Burton Albion Academy Under 15s side.

Polypipe helps out with Doncaster rainbow garden


Doncaster & Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals Rainbow Garden is to establish memorial gardens in both Doncaster and Bassetlaw to remember those who lost their lives to Covid-19.


Polypipe Building Products donated £5,000 to kick-start the fund which will give staff and families a place to reflect and remember the challenges faced during the pandemic. Kevin Gunn, Key Account Director at Polypipe Building Products, said: “We are very pleased that work has started on the gardens and proud to support the Trust to show our gratitude for the fantastic work they have done.”


British Gypsum radio show with DIY SOS plasterer


A new show from building trade radio station Fix Radio is being sponsored by British Gypsum and features Chris Frediani, the plasterer from BBC TV’s DIY-SOS as host


The Plastering Show will air on Fridays at 1pm each week and be a real focal point for thousands of plasterers up and down the UK to highlight the best tools and techniques, along with sharing stories of past work and future business operations as the trade finds its way out of the Covid-19 crisis.

Grant sponsors Devizes Town FC u12


Heating manufacturer Grant UK is taking on the sponsorship of the Devizes Town Youth Football Club Under 12’s Team for the 2020/21 season.


The Devizes Town YFC is an organisation run by volunteers who provide football to boys and girls between the ages of 3 years up to 18 years. The Under 12s Team is one of fourteen teams run at the Club which have between them, approximately 230 playing members. Although the Under 12s Team’s fixtures for the 2020/21 season have been affected by the Coronavirus pandemic, the players are still training and preparing for upcoming games.
