Travis Perkins, celebrated its 20th anniversary as Principal Partner of Northampton Saints Rugby Club at the Gallagher Premiership fixture vs Worcester Warriors on 22 October 2021. Actis sales duo help Elliotts builders merchant raise more than £7,000 at charity golf day


Inendent builders merchant Palladium held its charity golf day earlier this month, making the most of the perfect, if unseasonable, October sunshine. The event was held at Bigbury Golf Club & Golf Shop and featured fun golf games as well as a proper competition. Company Directors Gary and Keith Olver presented prizes that included for the highest individual points score along with highest team points score. They also presented booby prizes for the most lost balls, and getting stuck in bunkers.


The event finished with a dinner and charity auction, followed with items donated by Palladium and suppliers with Keith Olver as auctioneer. A total of £3,340 was raised for the four charities were represented on the night – Kingsbridge Triangle Centre, Rainy Day Trust, Devon Air Ambulance Trust and Gables Dogs & Cats Home.

Two of the Actis sales team have helped Hampshire builders’ merchant Ellliotts raise more than £7,000 for three charities by taking part in a fun golf day. Regional sales director Steven Ellis and area sales manager Joe Glaze were among more than 80 customers and suppliers taking part in the event at Bramshaw Golf Club earlier this autumn.


Organiser of the annual event, Elliotts’ drylining and Insulation group manager Ed Butcher, said this year saw record funds raised - with £1,000 going to child bereavement charity Simon Says, £750 to Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals and the remaining £5,000 plus to Oakhaven Hospice in Lymington. “I’ve run these golf days for a

Builders merchant Bradfords Building Supplies is sponsoring the Cornish Pirates rugby team for the current season.


A Rugby Union Championship team, the Cornish Pirates train and play at the Mennave Field in Penzance, just yards from Bradfords’ Penzance branch. The partnership also includes sponsorship of players Tommy Wyatt and Cory Teague, both of whom are dual-registered from the Exeter Chiefs this season. Bradfords will be Match Day Sponsors for the team’s game against Coventry on 30 October.
