1. Hultafors Tools’ new chisels The newly extended range of HDC Chisels now has a superior ergonomic design and 11 different blade widths up to 40mm. HDC Chisels are designed for jobs on site that need strength and precision for accurate chiselling work. All the blades are forged using a unique steel formula into a one-piece I-beam construction for strength and rigidity with a robust profile for extreme breaking strength and a design that maximises power transmission downwards through the tool. Additional features include an ergonomic Santoprene handle with an impact resistant nylon striker that can be replaced when worn down. The entire blade, including the handle, can be placed flat against the surface which allows you to cut parallel to a flat surface. All the chisels are supplied with holsters that protect the cutting edge to prevent damage or the possible injury when handling in toolboxes.

2. HB42 launches the PS1 Primer-Sealer HB42’s PS1 Primer-Sealer Stain Block, is suitable for interior surfaces and to ‘spot’ exterior surfaces. Providing a rapid matt finish that covers stains in one coat, it is ideal for use on all interior woodwork, plaster, glossy and hard to paint surfaces such as tiles, varnish, or gloss paints. The special formula blocks odours including mould, smoke and nicotine and seals-in stains from grease, water, smoke, wood knotting and sap residue, crayon, ink, lipstick, rust and more. The product can also be used to seal porous surfaces so top coat paints have better coverage. PS1 dries in 15 minutes and is ready for a recoat in 45 minutes. The primer sealer is white, doesn’t require sanding before painting and is also tintable, with universal tinters. HB42 PS1 Primer-Sealer Stain Block is available in 500ml, 1ltr, 2.5ltr and 5ltr tins.

4. Smooth sailing for Gatic UltraSlot Alicante Port, the commercial and cruise ship terminal, has benefitted from a Gatic Slotdrain high-capacity surface water drainage system. Slotdrain UltraSlot was specified during the re- conditioning of Dock 19 to increase capacity from 300,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU) to 463,000 TEU. UltraSlot is used in external concrete areas which are subject to constant traffic, such as airports and ports. This high-capacity system is designed to ensure sufficient depth of concrete cover over the main body of the channel to withstand ultra- heavy-duty loads of up to F900 - 90 tonnes. The UltraSlot Channel system was specified for 300 metres and featured stepped fall development.

5. Stain-free sealing with illbruck FA880
The illbruck FA880 helps achieve great looking joints, without any compromise on design. The neutral curing silicone comes in an extensive range of colours to achieve a perfect match for projects, while a contemporary matt finish brings a stylish finish underfoot. FA880 also includes a fungicide to prevent mould growth. It has been formulated for the long-term elastic sealing of movement joints between natural stone such as granite, slate, terrazzo, porphyry, limestone, travertine, sandstone, quartzite and marble, as well as for joints with other construction materials including concrete, ceramics, metals, glass, PVC and primed wood. FA880 offers good resistance to UV light, ageing and weathering and its rapid curing formulation means that it skins within 10-20 minutes.
