* Travis Perkins: the group figures quoted here include those for the Plumbing & Heating division, Wickes, Toolstation and the Merchanting Operations business. The first two were divested in 2021; the Merchanting Operations figures here do not include Toolstation. ** Saint Gobain Building Distribution: The figures include a full year of trading from Jewson, which was folded into Saint Gobain Building Distribution at the end of 2019. The figures also include those from the Graham plumbers merchant business, which was sold in 2021. *** Grafton Merchanting GB and Huws Gray: The transfer of the former’s Traditional Merchanting businesses on the UK mainland to the latter, announced on July 1 2021, went through at the end of December. These figures, therefore, include those businesses, among them the Buildbase, Civils & Lintels and PDM brands, under Grafton’s turnover, while Huws Gray’s include all the transferred Ridgeons’ turnover, but not the businesses bought in 2021, including the Grafton ones, as well as BSWC, Higgins and Sandysike. **** MGM Timber: The company’s accounting period and year-end was changed from March 31 2020
to September 30 2020, with the result that the figures quoted here are for 18months, hence the seemingly huge leap in turnover. ***** Parker Building Supplies: Figures here include those of Stamco, Fairalls and Chandlers. ****** Grant & Stone: The accounting period and year-end was changed from March 31 2020 to December 31 2020, with the result that the figures quoted here are for six months’ trading only, hence the apparent drop in turnover. They also don’t include the 2020 figures for CRS, which are quoted separately here, that company having been bought by Grant & Stone in January 2021. ******* National Timber Group (Scotland): Formerly Rembrandt Timber, and now incorporating the figures for Thornbridge Sawmills, acquired in February 2020.
CAVEAT: Most of these figures relate to 2020 financial year, showing the effects of the lockdowns.
