I Editor’s comment....


’ve just returned from a busy three days at Ambiente in Frankfurt, and it was everything I expected and more. As an industry newbie, the opportunity to engage


with members of the industry and see the products and innovations this sector has to offer is one I’ll never pass on. Ambiente’s three-year hiatus definitely didn’t hinder the success of the trade show. With an impressive line-up of exhibitors, the halls were bustling with visitors and the organisers truly showcased just how vast the housewares sector is. This month the Housewares team will be attending INDX Homewares in Birmingham, and next month we’ll also be in Chicago for The Inspired Home Show so we’re looking forward to meeting as many industry members as possible! We’ve entered the new year with a new and


improved design and I would like to say a huge thank you to Housewares’ Artwork Editor, Kirsty Hood for creating the magazine’s new look. In this issue we’ve put together trade show reviews and previews for Ambiente, INDX Homewares and The Inspired Home

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork This succulent pulled pork recipe is a total crowd pleaser!


Electrical


Combine the onion, ketchup, tomato puree, apple cider vinegar and spices in the slow cooker bowl. Season pork shoulder all over with salt and pepper then add to slow cooker, covering it with mixture.


RANGE


Cover and cook until tender on high for 5 to 6 hours or on low for 8 to 10 hours (meat should fall apart easily with a fork).


Remove pork from slow cooker and transfer to a bowl. Shred the pork and toss with juices from the slow cooker.
