KITCHEN ACCESSORIES - DEXAM
we offer an extensive range of kitchen accessories. We love style but not at the expense of functionality. We only sell
products that look and work beautifully, and we tailor the composition of our kitchen accessories based on their end use. For example, we choose the right metal for the right job; our fish scalers are made of aluminium as this does not leave a metal taste and affect the delicacy of the fish. In addition, our best-selling range of kitchen utensils are made from 18/10 stainless steel to ensure longevity and are dishwasher proof. Innovation is also important to keep us ahead of the game. Take for example our pre-seasoned carbon steel woks in the School of Wok range; they give the amateur chef the benefits of uncoated carbon steel without the hassle as they know the wok has been seasoned correctly
HM: What are your consistent best-selling kitchen accessories? HB: Our Dexam graters are amongst our best-selling kitchen accessories. We have a wide variety on offer from punched and laser- etched edges to hand held, box, soft grip etc. Alongside these, staples such as our stainless-steel bowls, whisks and sieves also sell incredibly well. There is something for everyone within our range. In addition, retailers and consumers can’t get enough of our beech and silicone spatulas – especially Scion with the cheeky and cheerful Mr Fox motif in a variety of colours.
HM: What are your business goals for the new year? How will you achieve them? HB: To broaden our customer base while continuing to work with our long-term partners. We have just employed a business development sales manager, Joe Leaton, for this precise task. Our range has developed so much in the last five years, it’s now time that our customer base caught up. To help achieve this goal we are inviting everybody to our showroom in Midhurst, West Sussex. It’s a great facility where
people can see the current range alongside future developments so that everybody can plan ahead. We’re offering incentives this year for those that visit and if it’s too far, a virtual tour is plan B.
HM: Do you have anything planned for the new year? New ranges, partnerships, etc. HB: 2023 is set to be another great year for new products from Dexam. Our partnership with the charismatic Jeremy Pang from Covent Garden’s School of Wok goes from strength to strength. We’re pleased to be extending the School of Wok by Dexam range and widening our oriental cooking accessories that enable enthusiasts to practise the art of Asian cookery with excellence from the very start. From a spice dabba to ginger grater and silicone tongs, you’ll be seeing several launches in Q1 for accessories that have been designed to work specifically with Asian cuisine. In addition, we will be increasing our terracotta range, launching reusable silicone icing bags as well as introducing new lines with our RHS and Kellogg’s licenses.
