Calling the crème de la crème Entries are open for the Housewares Innovation Awards 2019

he Housewares Innovation Awards are back for 2019 and next year’s event features a number of exciting

new ingredients – including a fresh website, fuss-free entry forms and new opportunities to win. Organised by Datateam Business Media – publisher of Housewares Magazine and its digital partner HousewaresLive.net – in partnership with Spring Fair, the annual home and gift trade show at NEC Birmingham, the Awards provide a platform for the sector’s foremost products, retailers and people. With entries now open, those that wish to put themselves in the running for a coveted accolade are invited to visit the revamped Housewares Innovation Awards website and submit an entry via the new online forms. Speaking about next year’s streamlined

process, publication & event manager Laurie Marrington said: “We know that time is always in limited supply; the new forms are designed to make it quicker and easier to get the recognition you deserve – so you can get back to doing what you do best!” In addition to the fresh digital approach of the established Awards scheme, a number of new categories have been introduced to the 2019 line-up.

With the rising popularity of edible decorations and intricate sugar crafts, a wave of creative new products have been hitting the market – and the very best of these will be celebrated with the introduction of the Sugar Craft Innovation Award. This will join the returning

categories already in place for suppliers, which include awards for innovation in Small Electricals, Bakeware, Cookware, Kitchenware, Tabletop, Packaging, Food Preparation and the Best Supplier Service Award.

On the retailer front, there are three new

categories; Britain’s Best Garden Centre, Britain’s Best Online Retailer and Britain’s Best Family Business. These join the existing retailer awards for Britain’s Best Retail Website, Instore Demonstrations, Multiple Housewares Retailer, Window Display, Independent Cookshop, Independent Department Store, Staff Training, Housewares Retail Buyer, Housewares Sales Person and the Retailer Service Award. Full criteria for all categories can be found on the Housewares Innovation Awards website. The deadline for entries is Tuesday 2nd October.
