Indoor Air Quality Initiative of the Year WINNER: Making the Invisible Visible – The Grantham Research Institute on

Climate Change & the Environment at The LSE

Net Zero Hero WINNER: Daikin Multi+: Empowering Households on the Path to Net – Daikin UK

“We were so proud to take home Domestic Heat Pump Product of the Year and Net Zero Hero at the HVR Awards, celebrating Multi+ as a smarter, more sustainable choice for UK homes. Multi+ shows what the future of heating and cooling can look like: effi cient,

connected and built to reduce carbon without complicating everyday life. It’s an all-in-one solution that’s already making a diff erence. Daikin UK is leading the shift to low-carbon living with practical, proven solutions for real homes. These awards recognise the power of smart technology to deliver lasting comfort, lower emissions and long-term value.”

A landmark study by the Grantham Research Institute at LSE and Columbia University has revealed that a UK government subsidy for indoor air pollution monitors could save up to £40 billion through improved productivity and reduced NHS costs. Researchers Sefi Roth and Robert Metcalfe conducted one of the largest-ever fi eld experiments on indoor air quality, monitoring 258 homes in Camden. The study found indoor pollution levels often exceeded outdoor levels, particularly in lower-income households. Providing residents with real-time air quality feedback reduced indoor pollution by up to 34%, highlighting both the health and economic benefi ts of tackling indoor air pollution.

Collaboration of the Year WINNER: Carrier and Pollution Solution on ROADVENT

Dan Wood, head of airside sales, Carrier and Thomas Delgado, CEO, Pollution Solution: “Winning Collaboration of the Year for Roadvent is a proud moment for both Carrier and Pollution Solution. Roadvent is proof of what can be achieved when engineering expertise and environmental innovation come together with a shared purpose to make the world we share safer for everyone.”

Highly Commended: NAADUK & Serco

Megan Bennett, product marketing manager, Nuaire, said: “Winning HVAC Initiative Of The Year for our work on reducing embedded carbon in our high volume residential and commercial ventilation systems is not only a recognition from our peers of the incredible team work we have put in to achieve this, but also industry recognition that doing business as usual is not sustainable. We have made some diffi cult choices, reducing the main sources of carbon in our products – steel and plastic - and will continue to do so because we are fi rmly committed to sustainability. We hope that winning this award sends a clear message to the industry: sustainability and profi t are not mutually exclusive. As part of the Genuit Group, our mission is ‘Together, we create sustainable living’, as it is the responsible way to operate.”
