Panasonic Heating & Cooling Solutions has expanded its CR Series line-up of Cold Chain Condensing units with the addition of the medium- and low- temperature 4HP units.
This growing range of high-quality refrigeration solutions, powered by the natural refrigerant CO2, now provides cooling capacities from 2kW to 16kW. The units are an ideal solution for a variety of refrigeration applications including chilled cabinets, cold-rooms and freezers in food retail, hotels, convenience stores, gas stations, healthcare (such as pharmaceutical laboratories), industrial and warehouses. Panasonic’s two-stage rotary compressor is unique technology and is designed to withstand extreme conditions, whilst also delivering high efficiency and powerful operation. An additional benefit is the compact unit can operate with noise levels as low as 33 dB(A).
The unit has a piping length up to 50m for flexible installation in a variety of settings.

The new ICON connected heat interface unit (HIU), launched by Switch2 Energy, is relieving the impact of higher gas prices for heat network suppliers and their customers. ICON is helping housing associations, local authorities and private developers improve heat network efficiency by up to 35%. This is resulting in major cost savings, while reducing CO2 emissions by as much as 40%.
Richard Harrison, chief executive of Switch2 Energy said: “Soaring wholesale gas prices mean residents on heat networks are facing much higher energy costs. Our ICON HIU is taking efficient heat network operation to the next level. The testo 400 offers innovative functions which make the user’s job easier in every way, and allow reliable, norm-compliant measurement and documentation; designed for engineers to cover a wide range of potential applications including airflow measurement within ducts and outlets, plus measurement of many IAQ parameters such as ambient CO2, temperature, and humidity. The extensive range of probes for the new measuring instrument is among the broadest on the market. Testo’s popular series of Smart Probes can also be connected to the testo 400, meaning it will slot in seamlessly into many engineers existing toolbags. WATERLOO
The refurbishment of the historic Rusacks St Andrews hotel, which overlooks Scotland’s hallowed Old Course Links and is a monument to golf and its founders, has benefited from Waterloo’s stylish, high quality air distribution products.
The hotel’s guestrooms, which have taken inspiration from the local golfing history and surrounding landscape and coastal positioning, have been fitted with Waterloo’s Airline Linear Bar Grilles (ALM), wall-mounted Exhaust Grilles (3HF) for return air to the fan coil units and Exhaust Valves (VB) for the en-suites. For the hotel’s restaurants and bars and reception areas, Waterloo’s CS-F continuous Linear Slot Diffusers were selected to provide optimum IAQ and comfort for guests and staff. The external fresh air intake and exhaust system is delivered by Waterloo’s YG-A Small Format Fixed Blade External Louvres, ideal for where space is limited. Waterloo was able to supply these lightweight, weather resistant louvres in a finish matched to the RAL7016 anthracite grey walls.
