ADVECO The Adveco GL family of low-cost carbon steel
storage tanks offers a selection of off-the-shelf vessels for commercial hot water (DHW) projects requiring direct electric heating, buffer storage, indirect heating or preheat.
Tough enough to deal with water conditions typically encountered across the UK, the new GL family expands options with a versatile choice of vessels with single and double coil variants, as well as no coil and the option for electric immersion to quickly and cost-effectively replace vessels in ageing commercial hot water systems.
To prevent corrosion the tanks are constructed from a carbon steel shell with a high-quality inorganic enamel lining. They are protected by a tough PVC jacket enclosing a rigid high-density polyurethane foam or removeable polyester fibre insulation. The Adveco GL range of storage tanks carries both WRAS and Kiwa’s KUKreg4 certification of product compliance with the water supply (water fittings) regulations for England, Scotland, and NI.

BAPI
In the world we live in, it is important to achieve good IAQ and all ventilation systems rely on the sensors to provide this information, so that an informed decision can be made on the buildings operation.
BAPI’s HVR award-winning Particulate Matter Sensor is an accurate and reliable way of continuously monitoring the concentration of particles in a room. Laser-based sensors provide the highest accuracy for commercial applications and will measure particle concentrations from 0 to 1,000 µg/m3. There is a five-year warranty and it is available in “Room” and “Duct” units.
BAPI’s award-winning CO2 and VOC sensors use the latest technology meaning they can be used in any application and provide accurate measurements for five years. Measuring a CO2 and VOC range of 0 to 2000 ppm this unit is ready to monitor within two minutes of installation. It is available in “Room” and “Duct” units.

TOSHIBA
A landmark office building in the City of London, 120 Cannon Street, has been equipped with high-performance Toshiba heat recovery VRF air conditioning as part of a major refurbishment project. The high-efficiency system contributed to the building earning an Excellent rating from the Building Research Establishment’s Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM). Consultant Designer Group specified 10 roof-mounted Toshiba outdoor VRF condensing units, connected to 135 ceiling-mounted slim-ducted indoor units, to provide heating and cooling for upper storeys, and a digital inverter condensing unit and hi-wall fan coil unit for the basement. Key to satisfying BREEAM’s energy monitoring requirement was the use of Toshiba’s BMS- CT2560U-E Touchscreen Central Controller, used in conjunction with Toshiba’s BMS-IFWH5E Energy Monitoring Interface. The controller enables landlords to manage VRF heating and cooling in multi-tenant buildings, providing schedule programming and full function control of all connected indoor units.

AQUILAR
The Aquitron AT-G-ALERT refrigerant gas detector provides continuous monitoring for refrigerants associated with high-efficiency, high volume refrigerant cooling and heating systems such as variable refrigerant flow/ variable refrigerant volume systems.
Using the AquiNet Fieldbus central monitoring system with the AT-G- ALERT refrigerant gas sensors enables designers and installers to comply with the requirements of BS EN378, providing a central audible and visual central alarm system. This product also helps achieve BREEAM credits, F-Gas and EH40 Health and Safety guidelines. Typical applications include hotel bedrooms, apartments, hospitals, schools and office buildings. The AT-G-ALERT audible and visual alarms alert occupants and simultaneously communicate to BMS/Building Automation Systems. Two on-board relays can close valves, activate alarms and exhaust fans or initiate emergency calls. The Modbus RTU interface provides real-time information about concentrations, status and settings. It enables custom configuration of the AT-G-ALERT to any application- specific requirements using multiple Modbus registers.

COMBAT
Combat Heating Solutions has introduced a range of de-stratification systems which are one of the most effective energy reduction technologies available on the market. Combat energy-saving HVE fans are the ideal solution to assist with savings on energy costs by returning the heat that rises back down to the ground level in high bay applications such as, but not exclusive to, churches and warehouses with high ceilings. These units can provide savings of up to 20% on running costs at optimum air change rate.
HVE Fans can eliminate thermal stratification. They work by constantly circulating and mixing the internal air until temperatures are balanced and equalised between the floor and ceiling – thermal De-stratification. This reduces the workload for heating and cooling systems significantly and also provides considerable energy saving and reduced carbon footprint. Using energy saving fans could assist with extending the life of industrial heating equipment thereby contributing to global environment protection.
