Nuaire launches new CIBSE approved Passivhaus CPD
I
ndoor air quality and ventilation manufacturing specialist Nuaire has released a new CIBSE approved CPD: An Introduction to Passivhaus. The CPD, which is aimed at the commercial market, focuses on the principles that define a Passivhaus and its ventilation criteria; the benefits of Passivhaus, especially in relation to net zero; along with a comprehensive understanding of the Passivhaus certification process. The CPD can be delivered in-person or online by Nuaire ventilation experts who have completed certified Passivhaus Tradesperson Training. With buildings contributing significantly to harmful carbon emissions, Passivhaus provides proven solutions to deliver net-zero-ready buildings that also provide a high level of occupant health and wellbeing. Passivhaus adopts a whole-building approach with clear, measured targets, focused on high-quality construction, certified through an exacting quality assurance process.
For a building to achieve the Passivhaus Standard in the UK, a mechanical ventilation system with highly efficient heat recovery is typically required. Nuaire provides Passivhaus certified Boxer Packages Solutions (BPS) air handling units and XBOXER XBC+ Passivhaus packaged heat recovery units. These products have been rigorously independently tested under realistic conditions to ensure they meet the strict Passivhaus efficiency, thermal comfort, and indoor air quality criteria. NEW CORE Side Stream Magnetic Filter
he CORE Side Stream Filter, manufactured in the UK, offers an innovative solution to enhance system filtration by effectively removing dirt and debris. Partnering with a manufacturer which has over 100 years of experience in magnetics, CORE developed a state-of-the-art product that ensures reliability and efficiency as standard. A key feature of this unit is its reusable stainless steel mesh filter. Designed to work with a biocide, which removes harmful non-magnetic particles under 150 microns, such as bacteria and pseudomonas, ensuring thorough system cleaning. The advantages of the reusable mesh basket include consistent flow rates with a reduced risk of blockages and lower ongoing costs and maintenance time. With just one powerful magnet, the cleaning process is simplified, yet ferrous contaminants are still effectively captured.
Notably, the CORE Side Stream Filter complies with BSRIA BG29 and BG50 standards, ensuring it meets industry benchmarks for performance and reliability. By integrating CORE’s biocide treatment, the filter protects the entire system without needing anti-bacterial filters. This approach boosts sustainability while reducing operational costs by eliminating the need for consumables. The CORE range also offers an insulation jacket to fit the side stream filter.
The unit’s low-pressure drop design enhances efficiency by having minimal impact on system flow. Its customisable inlet and outlet positions make installation quick and easy, making it a user-friendly choice for facilities of any size.
Available exclusively through SBS, with branches nationwide, the CORE Side Stream Filter is backed by an impressive 10-year warranty.

Samsung Climate Solutions merges safety, durability
and innovation in new DVM S Mini R32 S
amsung Electronics Air Conditioner Europe (SEACE) announces a new member to Samsung’s DVM S family, the DVM S Mini R32. This heating and cooling solution comes with R32 refrigerant with a lower Global Warming Potential (GWP) compared to the previous refrigerant R410A. Moreover, the DVM S Mini R32 integrates the latest technologies like Active AI functionality and it’s compatible with Samsung’s building management software
b.IoT.
At the heart of its innovation is Active AI. One of the features is AI Refrigerant Analysis, which harnesses the power of deep learning to monitor and analyse operational data in real-time. The system proactively alerts users if a discrepancy occurs and it will, for example, send an error message if the amount of refrigerant might be running low.
Furthermore, the system is equipped with AI Pressure Control, which learns usage patterns from recent operations and the surrounding conditions. This way the DVM S Mini R32 proactively creates the optimal environment to suit users’ preferences.
Manuel Sanchez Sanz, director of pre-sales at Samsung Electronics Air Conditioner Europe, says: “The DVM S Mini R32 is an advanced heating and cooling system which includes all the latest technologies like SmartThings integration,
b.IoT and AI while covering the essential factors of safety, robustness and durability. We’re proud to present a system that’s efficient and adaptive to the evolving demands of industry.” https://samsung-climatesolutions. com/gb/b2b/products/dvm/dvm-s-

Aspen launches the new quietly brilliant Silent+ Mini Lime Condensate Removal Pump
A
spen Pumps has launched the next generation of its Silent+ Mini Lime pump – an evolution in pump technology. Perfect for air conditioning applications
where silence is important, such as offices and meeting rooms, the new and improved 5th generation Silent+ Mini Lime operates at only 16dB(A) making it the quietest and most versatile elbow pump available. Simple and flexible to install, this technology delivers an impressive flow rate and lower power consumption than previous models. This new mini condensate removal pump offers unrivalled performance, on-demand power, near-silent operation, optimum reliability, and increased energy efficiency. With sound levels a critical comfort and health and wellbeing issue for end-users, the new Silent+ Mini Lime offers even quieter noise levels than previous models, with whisper-quiet operation. Since the Silent+ Mini Lime only pumps when needed, motor noise is reduced, as well as offering cost and energy-saving benefits, in addition to a longer motor life. Utilising the same technology as the Silent+ Mini White, the new Silent+ Mini Lime features intelligent variable speed demand control with the pump dynamically adapting to its environment, reducing the flow to the minimum required, and using 10 times less energy than its predecessor. This is enabled by an innovative electronic float switch that provides more precise control and improved reliability than mechanical alternatives and is ideal for integrating with digital control systems.
