WATER HEATING AT

Sealed system kit range mak es life simple for installer

life simple f or installer s A

s the most common form of central heating system in the UK, sealed systems must include an expansion vessel to handle the increase in volume as water is

heated. To keep it simple for installers, it helps to have all the key components in a single unit.

Altecnic's newest addition to its sealed system kit range, the Robokit Compact Plus, is designed tomake installers lives easier by having all the essential components for an expansion vessel install ation, in an compact unit . Part of the Caleffi group, Altecnic has made the new expansion vessel easy to specify and install where space is limited. The kit comprises a low profile, rectangular expansion vessel, which is available in eight litre, 10 litre and 12 litre sizes, a safety relief valve with in-built pressure gauge and a WRAS approved filling loop with integral non return valve. Despite its compact size, the vessel is able to provide enough expansion volume to suit the average size UK home, whilst being small enough to be installed in the tightest space. Gary Perry, Altecnic managing director said: "Sealed systems must include adequate expansion volume in order to protect them from irr eparable damage. In modern housing, or when retrofitting a vessel, this can become particularly difficult in hard to access spaces or where space is at a premium. The Altecnic range of compact sealed sy stem kits,

which are sized to fit in tight spaces, such as a kitchen cupboard, are also easy to install with their integral mounting bracket.

"This means that the Robokit Compact Plus has a

considerably reduced installation time, is easy to fit, correctly, anywhere, whilst also lowering maintenance costs for the homeowner or landlord, as the components are virtually maintenance free apart from periodic operational checks." Sealed systems are the most common form of central heating in the UK, and must include an expansion vessel to accommodate the increase in volume as the water is heated; failure to do so can damage the system beyond repair. Expansion vessels also help to maintain a constant pressure within the heating system, thereby improving efficiency and reducing energy consumption.

The Robokit Compact Plus sealed sy stem kit comes

with an integral wall mounting bracket, and a simple five way connector making the installation as easy as possible, for both left fit and right fit set ups. It is CE approved to water supply and fitting regulations G24 and fully tested according to the pressure systems directive.

The high quality, light carbon steel shell eliminates rust abrasion and is coated with red epoxy resin, reducing defects and in-war ranty call backs .
