Baxi launches Auriga HP+ R290 (propane) high-temperature commercial heat pump
B
axi adds to its expanding commercial heat pump range with new Auriga HP+ high-temperature, natural refrigerant air source heat pump series.
Baxi has announced the arrival of its Auriga HP+ R290 (propane) high- temperature air-to-water monobloc heat pump range. The new Baxi Auriga HP+ is a natural refrigerant air source heat pump (ASHP) with excellent low Global Warming Potential (GWP) of 3 for a lower environmental impact and improved efficiency and sustainability. Capable of delivering high flow temperatures up to 80oC, the Auriga HP+ is the perfect solution for a range of demanding applications. Easily integrated into existing heating systems, the Auriga HP+ provides greater options to overcome retrofit challenges. Its ability to achieve higher flow temperatures makes it equally suited to delivering low-carbon domestic hot water (DHW) requirements across a range of applications, from commercial buildings to heat networks and district heating schemes. The new Auriga HP+ offers extremely high efficiencies, delivering Seasonal Coefficient of Performance (SCOP) scores of up to 5.17 at W35 and 3.96 at W55. The units are manufactured with an inverter driven scroll compressor which enables modulation down to 13%, helping to improve efficiency still further.
The Auriga HP+ is available in two models with outputs of 20 kW and 30 kW and higher output options of up to 240kW in cascade.

Ideal Heating extends Evojet pressure jet boiler range to 3000kW output
I
deal Heating – Commercial Products has announced the addition of four new models to its Evojet pressure jet boilers, extending the range output up to 3000kW. This brings the range up to 14 boilers, all of which offer high efficiency through their condensing operation and modulation capabilities of the burners.
The new floor standing condensing Evojet 3-pass pressure jet boilers are available with outputs of 1750kW, 2100kW, 2600kW and 3000kW for applications requiring either single or multiple boiler configurations. They are ideally suited to large public utility buildings, where they can provide a space saving alternative to larger cascades comprising smaller capacity boilers.
These latest Evojet pressure jet boilers feature a double return condensing system (connections for high or low temperature return water) which enables them to keep the temperature difference between the heat exchanger wall and the return water high, thus maximising the formation of condensation. This, combined with the 3-pass layout, the titanium stabilised stainless steel internal components and extensive insulation, combine to provide a high level of efficiency and reliability. The new Evojet boilers are suited to use with multiple burner types for maximum flexibility, and modulation of the burner can be provided via 0-10 volt BMS or RWF controller. A two year warranty comes as standard on all Evojet models.

Gilberts elevates the standard in ventilation @ Nine Elms
A
brownfield industrial site along the banks of the River Thames is going from “rags to riches”, where even the background detail of ventilation is being given a high-end finish.
One of London’s biggest regeneration projects, Nine Elms is being completely transformed into a new mixed-use area, including the addition of 20,000 homes. One of the latest structures being delivered is Building N6, a 19-storey premium residential block.
To achieve the high-end finish, Gilberts’ grilles and diffusers, supplied via DBA Air Solutions have been installed throughout all the apartments by ESG (Essex Service Group). A combination of Gilberts HSL high-capacity slot diffusers and LN linear bar grilles ensure efficient supply and extract of ventilation in bedrooms, and open plan living spaces and kitchens for the central MVHR and 10no fan coil four-pipe heating & cooling systems, with the strategy validated by BIM.
The HSL diffusers deliver high capacity- up to 150l/s/m- of smooth, accurate airflow which makes them particularly suitable for integration into a fan coil strategy. With the multi-function LN grilles, which can attain up to 77% free ventilation area, the directional bars are manufactured level with the surrounding flange.
“The ethos behind the whole development is to create an outstanding living experience,” explained DBA’s Andy Lock. “Quality is therefore a fundamental, hence the specification and installation of Gilberts’ air movement components.”
