JS AIR CURTAINS
JS Air Curtains has launched a new air curtain, the Fly, designed for insect control. It is a hygienic alternative to plastic strip or chain link curtains, as it removes any potential for COVID-19 cross surface contamination.
By creating a high-velocity air barrier across a doorway, flying insects are prevented from entering food preparation areas in butcher shops, supermarkets, hospitals and nursing homes, as well as food production premises. This allows doors to remain open, further reducing the risk of surface contamination through staff or customers needing to touch doors or handles. Suitable for installation directly above a doorway, it is offered in five lengths from one to three metres and in four different power outputs to protect doorways up to four metres high. Fly air curtains should always be fitted to cover the entire entrance with a barrier of air, thus preventing any gaps that might allow insects to enter. Adjustable aluminium aerofoil shaped air blades can direct the airstream to create a tight seal across an entrance.

JS WRIGHT
J S Wright has netted a contract worth more than £5 million for the residential element of a major mixed-use regeneration scheme in
Wimbledon. The company will install the mechanical services for 413 high-quality private apartments at Wimbledon Grounds on the site of a former dog track in Plough Lane. Wimbledon Grounds is a development by Galliard Homes comprising homes and commercial space. JS Wright will provide and install a low-pressure hot water heating system and pipework to deliver low-temperature hot water via HIUs to radiators in all the apartments across the seven-storey buildings. It will also supply and equip the apartments with energy efficient mechanical ventilation heat recovery systems that will use the outgoing air from the properties to heat incoming fresh air. Fire prevention sprinklers, sanitary ware and HPDE above ground drainage will also be fitted. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2021.
