Armstrong has introduced new, larger sizes of the Design Envelope Tango, a compact, low-carbon dual pump that ensures uninterrupted service, even during maintenance. The Design Envelope Tango features two motors and two impeller

Star Refrigeration has unveiled Azanechiller 3.0, the latest evolution of its award-winning low-charge ammonia chiller, setting a new standard for industrial cooling effi ciency and sustainability. Designed and manufactured in the UK, Azanechiller 3.0 exceeds EcoDesign energy effi ciency targets by up to 110%, using up to 52% less electricity than standard models. It outperforms UK competitors by as much as 20% in Seasonal Energy Performance Ratio (SEPR), making it the most effi cient low-charge, air-cooled ammonia chiller on the industrial market. Capable of operating across a temperature range of -20°C to +25°C and cooling capacities up to 1,600kW, the plug and play chiller is suitable for food processing, pharmaceuticals, data centres, ice rinks and temperature-controlled storage. Engineered for resilience, it off ers a lifespan of 25 years or more and robust safety features, including portable safety showers, enclosed electrics, and optional access ladders. Environmentally, the Azanechiller 3.0 is future-proof, as

it is exempt from F-gas and PFAS regulations and features a low ammonia charge (0.18 kg/kW), optimised for ambient temperatures up to 40°C. The system is also Ethos-ready, allowing real-time AI-based data analysis and energy optimisation. Azanechiller 3.0 delivers a reliable, energy-effi cient, and sustainable cooling solution that supports businesses on their journey to Net Zero.  www.star-ref.co.uk

assemblies housed within a single casing. Integrated valves can isolate one side of the pump for service, without interrupting fl ow or aff ecting occupant comfort. New sizes are now available with motors ranging from 15 to 40 horsepower and are capable of serving applications up to 120 L/s. Design Envelope Tango is a compact solution that combines built-in parallel pumping with leading performance and reduced installation costs. Because the two rotating devices share a single casing, installation requires less piping. In addition, the Vertical In-Line orientation means the pump is installed in the piping and does not require an inertia base. Design Envelope technology features patented Parallel Sensorless operation, enhancing fl ow turn-down and providing built-in fl ow metering for superior fl ow control. The energy- effi cient design of the Tango reduces operating costs by up to 80% and lifecycle costs by up to 40%. As Tango provides an eff ective alternative to full duty standby, it can also reduce embodied carbon.

The value of Design Envelope pumps is augmented by Pump Manager, a cloud-based service that provides intelligent analytics, diagnostics, and alerts to support HVAC system effi ciency. All Armstrong 360 Service and Support programs optimize the lifetime performance of HVAC systems. Armstrong Fluid Technology is committed to sustainability. In 2019, Armstrong signed the Net Zero Carbon Buildings Commitment, a programme launched by the World Green Building Council. As a signatory to the programme, Armstrong has pledged to ensure that all its offi ces and manufacturing facilities operate at net-zero carbon by the year 2030.
