Gel-clear has launched the UCP700+, a high-performance condensate pump designed specifi cally to overcome the unique challenges found in supermarket refrigerated display cabinets. Unlike general-purpose condensate pumps, the UCP700+ is
built from the ground up for the supermarket environment, where biofi lm buildup, restricted space, and repeated blockages lead to frequent call-outs, downtime, and water leaks. “This pump was designed to solve real problems in the fi eld,” said Paurick Gaughan, Managing Director at Gel-clear. “From biofi lm resistance to better sealing and hose performance, every part of the UCP700+ exists because of what we’ve learnt on site.” Engineered for refrigerated display cabinets: Ag+ Silver Ion Technology: All internal surfaces are coated in a patented silver ion layer, preventing biofi lm growth and protecting fl oat switches and components for up to 8 years. Biocidal Mesh Filtration: A custom 60-mesh copper fi lter
intercepts debris, preventing biofi lms and reducing clogging risks. ■ Improved Tank Connector: Designed for fast and secure installation with long-lasting seals and enhanced mechanical reliability.
■Swing-out service: Supplied with a 500mm fl exi drain connector to allow for a fully connected service ‘swing out’, simplifying future maintenance.
■Kink-Proof Hose Compatibility: Paired with a crush-resistant discharge hose, the pump operates more effi ciently and with reduced back pressure, thereby increasing its service life. The UCP700+ is also designed for remanufacture, with all

Williams has launched its greenest Jade upright cabinets ever. The Jade is the company’s top-of-the-range model, and these new versions not only reduce energy consumption but also feature the company’s latest CoolSmart controller. Two models within the Jade cabinet range have been updated: the single-door HJ1, with a capacity of 620 litres, and the two-door HJ2, which off ers an internal capacity of 1295 litres. They are designed to accept 2/1GN shelves and trays. Both the refrigerated and freezer models have decreased energy consumption, off ering caterers signifi cant energy savings. For example, the single door HJ1 has an energy grade of A. The Jade cabinets use a new version of Williams’ CoolSmart controller. Its sensitive technology ensures highly accurate temperature control, and the refrigeration system only turns on when required, thus minimising energy consumption. The CoolSmart’s sleek capacitive touchscreen features a clear white digital display and is IP55-rated, making it both waterproof and dustproof. Jade cabinets are designed to operate effi ciently in the most demanding kitchen environments – they are tested to Climate Class 5 and can handle ambient temperatures up to 43°C. They run on natural refrigerant, which, in addition to having a low GWP and zero ODP, off ers excellent thermodynamic properties that also reduce energy usage. High-performance, CFC-free, precision-injected insulation ensures optimal temperature control while also reducing energy consumption. Jade’s attractive aesthetics include a full-length integral ‘easy grab’ door handle, which makes it straightforward for staff to open one- handed. In addition to being aesthetically pleasing, the cabinets are also practical, for example, the internal racking and shelving are easily removable for cleaning.
