It’s great to have you back reading this month’s issue of Converter, and if it’s your fi rst time, then welcome. This month’s issue has quite a focus on sustainability a refl ection on industry trends. In fact when I visited London Packaging Week just a number of days before fi nalising this edition there were several things which caught my eye. From a range of awards and a look back at the past of packaging, with the Museum of Brands, to incredible new products driving forward sustainability like Frugalpac paperboard bottles. This issue contains features on Drying, Curing and UV, Ink and Ink Dispensers, Reel and Roll Handling, Shrink Sleeve Solutions, Sustainable Converting and Labelling Solutions. Archroma Packaging Technologies strengthens global footprint with three new Centres of Innovation to support
multiple market segments The three Global Centres of Innovation in Mumbai, India; Prat, Spain; and Charlotte, USA are strategically positioned within the fastest growing regions of each market allowing for greater visibility into real-time market trends and customer needs. The fi rst global COI to open was in Mumbai, India on 5 September 2025. The Centre has been built with state-of- the-art equipment to cater to the numerous product verticals serviced by Archroma Packaging Technologies within the fl exible packaging and wood market segments. The second Centre of
Innovation in Prat, Spain opened on 17 September 2025 further enhancing Archroma Packaging Technologies global footprint within Europe. This Centre’s focus will be on tape & label and is equipped with advanced laboratories and state-of-the-art equipment. The third COI will open later this year in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA with a focus on fi bre & board packaging and biomaterials.
